04. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not? i always try to, yes! it may take me awhile sometimes but i like to always make sure that i reply because i really, really appreciate readers taking the time to leave a comment of any sort! the only times i don't reply are probably when it's like a comment becoming a thread/convo and idk what to say or it's ended at a good point.

05. What's the fic you've written with the angstiest ending? i mean, i don't think i really have one that has any type of angsty ending? i only do happy endings because i'm a soft baby and need there to be happiness at the end. i don't know if i could write an unhappy ending tbh lol.

06. What's the fic you've written with the happiest ending? like the last answer, all my fics have happy endings! so i guess i'll pick maybe like the sappiest happy ending which i think i'd say would have to currently go to baby, i've got a lifetime to share (so let's start with forever) because roy proposes in it hehe.

07. Do you write crossovers? i do not. i don't really get the urge to at all. i never say never though, so who knows.

08. Have you ever received hate on a fic? luckily not so far! hopefully it stays that way lol.

09. Do you write smut? If so, what kind? i sure do! my smut tends to be pretty fluffy & schmoopy, i think. i just can't help myself apparently and everything must be cavity-inducingly sweet lol. i have explored & will explore many kinks! really just as long as i like it, that's all that matters to me so anything goes lol.

10. Have you ever had a fic stolen? not that i'm aware of!

11. Have you ever had a fic translated? i don't think so, no.

12. Have you ever co-written a fic before? nope! i'd probably be open to co-writing with folks i vibe well with, though.

13. What's your all time favorite ship? royed (roy & ed from fullmetal alchemist) ! royed's just got my whole entire heart, y'know? writing them has come easier than any other ship i've ever written for. a close second would be souyo (the protag & yosuke from persona 4).

14. What's a WIP that you want to finish but don't think you ever will? ugh, honestly, probably let's get lost unfortunately because i have no idea if i'll ever get the muse back for writing souyo/persona 4. hopefully at some point in the future because i'd hate to abandon it completely, but i just don't have an inclination for writing anything but royed currently. (i'm so sorry souyo i love you so much)

15. What are your writing strengths? i think i do fluff & romance really well! i mean i make myself giddy from my own fluff so i think that's a good sign lmao. i also think i do well getting into character's headspace to get their voices and personalities as accurate as possible.

16. What are your writing weaknesses? definitely my perfectionism & getting in my own head overthinking things because it holds me back a lot. i'm trying really hard to fight it off and just let things be as best i can so that i can write way more and care a bit less about whether or not it's "perfect" or "ao3 worthy" or whatever. as long as i like it, then that should be all that matters, right? lol. for like particulars, i think i'm pretty weak when it comes to action scenes and branching out into unfamiliar territory lol.

17. What are your thoughts on writing dialogues in other languages in a fic? i personally am not comfortable writing anything in any language that i'm not fluent in. i love seeing different languages in fics and i think exploring language barriers and stuff can be so interesting and fun, but i'm a bit scared to try it unless i pick up some more languages.

18. What was the first fandom you wrote for? i do believe it was either sailor moon or inuyasha when i was like... 10 or something? idk a child though for sure. neptune/uranus & inuyasha/kagome respectively hehe.

19. What's a fandom/ship you haven't written for yet but want to? hmmm maybe kpop demon hunters (polytrix & rujinu) or final fantasy xiv (my warrior of light/aymeric ehe)!

20. What's your favorite fic you've written? it changes all the time, i think! right now it's what else can i do but keep wishing for you?

Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?

i want to! i just really, really, really suck at it for some reason. i think a part of it is that i get so hyped whenever i get a comment notification that i run to read it on my phone no matter how busy i'm at the moment, but i don't like responding on my phone. except if i don't do it right away, it falls into the rabbithole of all my other tasks that i struggle to juggle and stay on top of, and...

i kind of got into a habit of answering the chaptered fic's comments, at least, when i'm about to post a new chapter. but since my uploads have slowed down so much, i worry that it doesn't feel engaging or rewarding enough to people who commented? 🥺👉👈

i really want to do better. i'll keep trying. i love you guys <3

What's the fic you've written with the angstiest ending?

i've sat here pondering this question for far too long. i don't write outright angsty endings, which is wild considering angst is my staple. thinking about my fics, i've come to realise a lot of my endings are simply... hopeful.

i think if i'd have to pick, two come to mind for this question.

Elegy > simply because there's so much fear and grief in there, and by the end of it, the consequences are still very much present. and despite the hope of them somehow managing to push through and move forward, it's not all that simple. nothing is resolved. they made it through Day One of the aftermath, and all of it is really still in front of them. the wounds won't easily let go. the tangled mess will have its consequences, no matter what. (think of grian's fears renewed. think of mumbo trauma. think of impulse.) (so much is still in shambles. so much is still at stake.)

even if it hurts (and even if it isn't a dream) you can have a home here > or the sleep demon grian fic. because, once again, there's no easy answer to the hurt and fear that's just been wrought. he's held safe, but it's not going to protect him outside of this singular moment. he's stuck in a reality that's cruel and unwelcoming, and even with gentle hands around him (for the moment, for now), he's still going to be afraid.

What's the fic you've written with the happiest ending?

once again we run into my problem of hopeful but not really happy endings, although... maybe this one has an easier answer.

these flowers will wither (like you and me), but they're not dead yet > or the third life dancing fic. it's got its share of Complicated Feelings(TM) but a lot of it is just about dancing and feeling alive and being in love. experiencing things together, even when they're destined to end in blood and death.

Do you write crossovers?

nope, I don't! although i let ben sometimes drag me into a crossover au idea from time to time, and we yap and ramble about it in our DMs :3c

Have you ever received hate on a fic?

i haven't received any hate. a negative comment or two that kind of stuck, but nothing that i would call hate.

Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

ahaha. ahahaha.

right now the only smut i write is a part of private hhau rps with link. and those are a little bit ✨deranged✨

Have you ever had a fic stolen?

not to my knowledge.

Have you ever had a fic translated?

no, never.

Have you ever co-written a fic before?

there have been attempts! and plans! they were always split by POV or into parts. but none worked out so far. (there was the priate au fic idea, the secret life "5+1 times..." kind of fic idea (grian angst!)... and the ribbon incident for the hhau mimic arc - which might hopefully still happen one day! but. we'll see.)

i do write RPs all the time though (link and plantie <333 love u for indulging me) and the coauthored fic on AO3—will i find my home, my home, my home in you?—is basically just a published piece of RP. on top of that, me and link have plenty of rambles that we work on together, and i do meddle with help ben with aus all the time... so that's something! it's always a lot of fun. but a full fledged fic is a little bit trickier. maybe someday.

What's your all-time favorite ship?

this one isn't going to be shocking at all. if you know me, you know the answer.

What's a WIP that you want to finish but don't think you ever will?

i have many wips, and i want to finish all of them! ... there might be some that are getting dusty, but shhh. shhhhhhh. i do not want to admit these things. let me live in denial. all my wips are (eventually, one day!!!) getting finished. mhm. yep. definitely. <3

(although i might have to give up on most of the coauthor ones—)

What are your writing strengths?

i'm mostly going off what people said to me but... well, clearly, gutwrenching angst is the simple answer everyone agrees on. and i love that so much, because angst is such a big part of my writing. (i do not say it lightly when i claim i can angst anything—)

i tend to dive into character's headspace and poke and prod at the emotions until they spill everywhere. so you could say that scenes with emotional spirals and anything with emotional impact are my natural habitat. it's my playground, and i tend to use all kinds of visuals and descriptions as my little building blocks.

from time to time i also get a comment on writing characters' voices right! which always makes me happy to hear. <3

What are your writing weaknesses?

one thing i definitely struggle with a lot is group scenes. whenever there's multiple characters around, it's difficult for me to keep track and keep everyone engaged. it's hard to carve out enough space for everyone's reactions. i think this sort of goes with the above point, of me liking to prod at emotions, and that becomes harder to cleanly do with more people on the scene. (my favourite scenes to write are the ones where there's just two people.)

transitions can also give me a hard time. moving between scenes or ideas or conversation topics (esp if in a group) (hello hmtb sleepover i wonder why i'm stuck on writing u for so long—), wrapping up things. stuff like that.

and... you know what, i'll throw it in here. mumbo. mumbo, when he's an active participant in a life series, is the bane of my existence. i can never write him when that's going on, and it's a problem because he's somehow always in all of my wip scenes when it happens. (head in my hands)

What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic?

if it makes sense for the setting and the characters, and you know the language, then sure, go for it. i have personally never done it or even really thought about it. it just doesn't come up for me as it's not relevant to the stuff i write.

What was the first fandom you wrote for?

wow this brought back some embarrassing memories.

anyway i think the first one might've been naruto? i actually ended up writing a long multichapter fic for it (unfinished. i just dug up the file to check and i've invested 134k words and 49 chapters into this story. this was years and years ago.)

What's a fandom/ship you haven't written for yet but want to?

oh, i don't think there's any right now. i'm very cozy in my little desert. i like right where i am.

What's your favorite fic you've written?

there's always one singular fic that comes to mind at this kind of question, and that's the cursed forest au fic - even with death haunting your footsteps, your flowers will bloom again. i think it's something about the way it's written, sprinkled through with pretty words. melancholy wrapped up in flowers and rot... mm.

i do have to say though, i had lots of fun writing and absolutely love the whole boatem circus series so far, and ofc hmtb is very dear to me too <3

altogether, I have 33 works… but 21 of them are actually available on my ao3 page, whereas my 12 F1 fics are on anon 😅

351,826 — more than I expected, but also less than what I was expecting out of 33 works. tbf I write more one-shots than I do actual long fics

Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?

I reallllllly try to. if I don't respond right away, I usually do it sooner or later. on long fics, I tend to reply if I get them instantly when I update or I try to respond right before I upload a new chapter. I super love reading comments and interacting with them because a lot of great ideas form in the comments and a lot of my willpower to write comes from praise lmao. so I figure why not get back to the people taking their time to let me know I've done a good job?

What's the fic you've written with the angstiest ending?

okayyyyy, the angstiest ending I've ever written is between can you see right through me? or from my 2020-2021 fandom (the magicians) — hard choice fr but my Daniel/Charles (endgame lestappen) is pretty damn angsty

What's the fic you've written with the happiest ending?

another old fandom fic (top gun). it ended in a marriage proposal (I let @beensinning read this one hehe)

Do you write crossovers?

I'm with @beensinning. do AUs count? bc my bridgerton fic is basically a fusion, but also not? or does it only count as a crossover when other people in the fandom appear? if I'm talking nonsense, just ignore me lmao

Have you ever received hate on a fic?

yesssssss. i once had someone comment and say I had several spelling mistakes — come to find out its bc I was using the American-spelling of English words (I am American oops), but when I asked what spelling errors I had, they came back and corrected my grammar bc they were wrong about my spelling so they had to find something else wrong 😭

also in a lestappen fic (I can take the upper hand and touch your body), I was just playing with a different narrative basically (bc it's fanfic… reminder. FICTION. a place where you can change the narrative to fit your story) & someone started hating on Max in my comments bc I made Charles the “bad guy”. I didn't. I just made him emotional bc of the Spain GP weekend. aka clipping lando, the reprimand, max and Lando gossiping in front of cameras. I just changed the narrative to fit where Charles’ mind was at. instead of the slight collision between Lando and Charles being an accident, I made it where it was hinted he just saw red and then yea. anywayssss, I do not condone hating one or the other. end of story. how do you find enjoyment reading a ship when you hate one of them??? I don't get it.

also I'm pretty sure this comment didn't mean any harm, but in my bridgerton fic (darlin’, I will give up everything) where omegas wear dresses bc I'm playing with the inherrant sexism in women and omegas while also aiding in my feminization kink, someone asked why I couldn't just put Charles in his baggy jeans… lol anyway, it made me mad so I'm counting it.

Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

oh boy, do I ever. I will write just about any kind of smut unless I don't find a certain kink enjoyable, but I also don't yuck other people’s yums 🤷🏼‍♀️ my fav smut is def breeding kink and feminization kink if y'all couldn't tell though 😌

Have you ever had a fic stolen?

not that I know of? I think I would actually have an anxiety attack over that if it happened though lol

Have you ever had a fic translated?

I have had someone ask, but I do not think they ever went through with it? I never got a message/comment back or a ‘inspired by’ notif on ao3 so I just assumed it never happened

Have you ever co-written a fic before?

no, but I love bouncing ideas off of other people. usually, if someone has really inspired me, I always gift them the fic on ao3 because it's my present to them to bring alive some of their ideas 🥹

What's your all-time favourite ship?

my otp is icemav (missing my old fandom heavy lately), BUT lestappen are becoming my will tomkive so there's that. which is sooooo funny to me bc I came into this fandom liking piarles more… which I still love them, but lestappen have taken over my brainrot

What's a WIP that you want to finish but don't think you ever will?

its a longfic for my old fandom and I severely hate that I never finished it bc so many people loved it… I got burnt out so bad and had to take a step back. I just don't know if I will ever come back to it, but I would love to finish it if I ever get the urge to. maybe one day 😔

What are your writing strengths?

I answered this recently in an ask, I think? it was character building and how they interact with other characters. I feel I’m really good at showing how people react to others and conveying their moods.

What are your writing weaknesses?

commas. I suck at knowing where commas go 😭 this is why I tag ‘grammarly is my best friend’ in fics bc it IS. it is so dear to me.

What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic?

I'm a native English speaker so I can't speak for people who speak other languages, but I don't mind reading it. on the other hand, I do write it, but I try not to write full conversations and instead just add a word here or there 😭 I know some French because I took it for 2 years but a lot of it is rapidly fading from my mind so I know next to nothing atp. forgive me everyone if I'm butchering things in my fics 😔

What was the first fandom you wrote for?

one direction back in 2012 (I was 12) 😎 I was writing one direction x OFC LMAO

What's a fandom/ship you haven't written for yet but want to?

oh god um??? I guess I'd like to write a sebchal or choscar fic one of these days 👀

What's your favourite fic you've written?

hands down, closer I get, can you resist? I love it sm. I've put sm of my soul into that fic that it feels like my child. it was the first fic I've written in a while where I'm just going with the flow and having fun

How many works do you have on AO3?

2. What’s your total AO3 word count? 643,096 words Mostly written within the last 5 years!

3. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?

Breathing Water - My flagship fic for the longest time. It still holds up 4 years later! And I'm still simping for Neloth.

Halfway to the Sky - Coming in with only about 30 kudos less than BW, I'm always tickled and humbled and just so honored that so many people like this story.

The Shadow Over Solstheim - This one had the most kudos for the longest time just because it's my oldest multi-chapter fic. Baby's first foray into something more than a smutty one-shot! My writing is unpolished and my lore knowledge is amateurish at best, but it's just so full of verve.

Hollow Men - A fic I honestly didn't expect many people to read due to the subject matter, but one that's near and dear to my heart.

Invictus - The bonkers, off-the-rails sequel to Shadow Over Solstheim in which Topsy discovers TES Lore in real time as they write. I don't think I could ever write something this free again even if I wanted to. I'm too burdened by knowledge (much like Teldryn).

4. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?

I try to respond to almost every comment, but sometimes I get stuck with Comment Paralysis and they just pile up in my inbox until I'm thoroughly overwhelmed. I read every single comment and blush and kick my feet excitedly, though.

5. What’s the fic you’ve written with the angstiest ending?

Hmmm... I don't really do angsty endings. I like pleasant, contented endings, sometimes bittersweet, sometimes open-ended. But I guess Dreamers, my Hadvar/Ralof fic as it currently stands, has the angstiest ending. At least until I manage to finish the final chapter...

6. What’s the fic you’ve written with the happiest ending?

Uhhhh... They're all pretty happy, from my perspective at least. Maybe Finding Mara takes home the gold for happiest ending. (Erandur takes home the gold, too -snerk-)

7. Do you write crossovers?

I have written exactly one crossover and it's the oldest fic on my AO3 (from 2014). Otherwise, they're fun to think about, but nah. Not really.

8. Have you ever received hate on a fic?

If you count an entire series of callout posts, years of harassment, and people jumping to conclusions over a fic they never even read, then the answer is yes.

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

Yes. All kinds, but generally smut with a purpose. "Porn with plot" as they say. I write smut that zooms into the characters' heads, prys open their wants and desires and fears and insecurities. I write smut that can get a little hyper-realistic, to the point of sometimes being kind of gross. I write smut as a form of raw expression, people at their most vulnerable, literally stripped bare. It's one of my favorite things to write because it is an endless exercise in character study, in boundaries, in what it means to consent, and how the lines between who we think we are and what others perceive us to be get so easily blurred.

10. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

If I have, they've gotten away with it.

11. Have you ever had a fic translated?

Yes, once! Someone asked if they could translate the first chapter of Halfway to the Sky into Russian.

12. Have you ever co-written a fic before?

Yes, back when I first joined the TES fandom. Two of my fandom bests at the time co-wrote a couple of stories with me. One is posted to AO3 (Ceasefire), and the other was a horny, whirlwind, feverdream of a fic that the other author and I mutually agreed we would probably never share with the greater world lol. We are still bests to this day and I often revisit that fic in awe and bafflement of our energy.

13. What’s your all-time favorite ship?

It's so tough to choose, honestly, but I gotta go with Neloth/Teldryn, because it just took me by surprise and spun out into something so wild and wonderful.

14. What’s a WIP that you want to finish but don’t think you ever will?

I never say never with my WIPs. If I've learned anything over the past 5 years in this fandom, it's that I'll pick an old WIP up on a whim. I do wanna get back to my Arvel the Swift WIP at some point. I also started working on a Dark Brotherhood-centric fic last year, too. And so help me Talos I am going to finish Dreamers.

15. What are your writing strengths?

Dialogue. People talk in my head and I just write it down. It usually ends up sounding pretty natural. And pacing. I feel like I manage pacing pretty well and can make good calls as to when a scene is dragging or we need to skip forward in time a bit.

16. What are your writing weaknesses?

Wordiness. Relying too much on "feeling" words. Telling instead of showing more than I need to. Repetitive sentence structure. My goal in 2024 is to become more direct and succinct with my writing style.

17. What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic?

Eh... I've done it before. I threw in a lot of Dunmeris and Ta'agra back in the day when I was first writing TES fic, but I'd say just use italics and translate what's being said. Or, alternatively, if the POV character can't understand what's being said, don't even use dialogue, just mention that it's being spoken. It's all gobbledygook to them anyways.

Yu Yu Hakusho (in 2004)

19. What’s a fandom/ship you haven’t written for yet but want to?

I'm monogamous with my fandom currently, so I'd really love to write something with Cicero, because it's been a long time coming.

20. What’s your favorite fic you’ve written?

That's really hard to choose. They're all my favorite when I'm writing them. Each fic is its own little relationship for me. I don't write things unless I'm absolutely in love with what I'm writing. So they're all my favorite, in that sense.

How many words did you publish in 2024?

I actually just figured out how skewed the stats are on Ao3 because even if you post 9/10 chapters of a fic in one year, it'll roll over to the next year, which seems silly, but ANYWAYS... my stats say 131,992 words!

What are your top three fics you wrote last year?

The Ritual  11k | One Shot | Rated E Genderbent Steddie with Vampire Eddie & Human (Virgin!) Stevie Really hoping to expand on this universe this year because I had a blast writing this one!

We Part To Meet Again 27k | 7 Chapters | Rated E Steddie dads reunited in the 90s, a fic I started on an impulse for Steddie Week in 2023 and then put on the back burner for a year before finishing it. I'm really proud of how it turned out.

Late Bloomers  cowritten with @arimakes for the reverse bang 65k | 6 Chapters | Rated E Modern AU in which kinky Eddie has a bi awakening and bi Steve has a kinky awakening Ari and I had a lot of fun collabing on this, and I'm really proud of the fic it grew into

What was your biggest pit of despair moment?

Getting burnt out after signing up for too many events and then not having time to just focus on what I wanted to write. I went through a rough period where I just kept wanting to write and nothing would come out, my poor friends listened to me whine a lot about worrying that I was never going to write again. I felt like a sponge that had been wrung out, all my creativity dried up. It was honestly a little scary because I've never felt so tapped out like that before. I started several fics hoping they'd light the spark again but nothing really worked other than giving myself time.

What have you learned?

To give myself breaks from events and exchanges (I haven't signed up for any more since the reverse bang last year despite wanting to!) and to go where the wind blows me. I've also tried to become more intentional with my plotting and outlining, making sure I know how a fic is going to end before I start posting. Things definitely change along the way but it helps to have a strong idea of the conclusion especially when I'm still stuck on figuring out how to end my Bat Eddie fic over a year later 😥

Did you beta any fics last year? Any faves you want to shout out?

Oh god...so many. I tend to weasel my way into my friend's docs. I absolutely love beta reading ♥️ I actually started a bookmark collection to keep them all in one place, so feel free to check out my Beta Bestie Fics here but I'll list a few faves that need more love!

Where the Black Willow Stands by @arimakes 8.5k | One Shot | Rated E Chrissy POV in a 1600s New England village, where she encounters a coven. Complete with genderbent Steddie. This is a sapphic dream that is so rich in worldbuilding and such a run ride. Ari is a master of writing super fun and unique alternate universes for our favourite characters. Honestly everything Ari writes is unreal, and I encourage everyone to read their entire catalogue but I also want to shout out their Stommy fic After Everything

The Friends Outweigh The Benefits Series by @itcanbepalped 14k | 2 Works | Rated E Benefits - Sapphic Hellcheer A New Regular - Steddie but make it Butch Edie Mads is such a pioneer of sapphic fics and rarepairs. This is one of my favourites that they've written with such fun dynamics between the characters

apocalypse boys series by @glitterfang 18.6k | 2 Works | Rated E Tommy comes home to Hawkins and gets sucked into the Upside Down mess. This series is so much fun, I love the different dynamics at play between Steve & Eddie, Steve & Tommy, and Tommy & Eddie. It's so fun to see them mess around together pretending like it's just jerkin off with your pals at the end of the world, but Becca's really building them into a very sweet and codependent throuple hehe.

What three fics from last year did you love?

The Choice is Yours by @pearynice 82.5k | 16 Chapters | Rated E Farmer Steve & Rockstar Eddie This fic was just soooo cute and comforting, like a steaming cup of hot chocolate on a cold day, or a warm hug, or just driving on a sunny day with the radio on and the wind in your hair, y'know? It just made me so happy to read I adored it.

Big Talk by @occasionaloverboy 29k | 3 Chapters | Rated E The first time Eddie flirts with him is a surprise. The second time is a fluke. After that, it gets a little hard to keep track. Top tier flirting in this fic, I was giggling and kicking my feet the entire time.

In A Mirrored Room, Talking To Myself by @entanglednow 65k | 8 Chapters | Rated E Corroded Coffin ghost hunters, and Steve Harrington's haunted house, what could go wrong? LOTS!!!! Man this fic spooked the shit out of me, if you've enjoyed their other fics you'll know that entanglednow is a talented writer but she really knocked it out of the park with this one, the vivid descriptions and the creeping foreboding were just top notch. Such a wonderful spooky fic.

What ideas are percolating for this year?

I've posted about all of these before, especially in my latest WIP Weekend post but my goals this year are to finish all my WIPs. Right now my prime focus is on my Frat Boy Steve Fic Acta, Non Verba and then I'd really like to finish the unfinished fics on my Ao3: Bat Eddie and the Night Drives series. I recently was working on the outline for my werewolf Steve fic though so that might end up howling for me first.

So I decided to snag this from @sparklepocalypse and fill it out because I'm cozy on my couch on New Year's Eve and fighting off a nap like a grumpy toddler. I'm actually fairly certain I've done this one before, now that I think about it, but oh well. The numbers are different since last time, so...

4. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?

I respond to each and every comment that I receive. I try very hard to leave a personalized message for each person, but no matter what, even if it's just a "thank you," I will always respond! Even if it takes me some time!

5. What’s the fic you’ve written with the angstiest ending?

To this day, the angstiest ending is Darkest before the dawn, which ends with hope, even if it doesn't end with an actual resolution. It's during canon, so the reader know what happens next.

6. What’s the fic you’ve written with the happiest ending?

I think my most recent Christmas fic, Oh what a laugh it would have been, has probably now overtaken one of my previous fics for overall happiest ending!

7. Do you write crossovers?

I haven't yet, but I'm absolutely open to it given the write parameters!

8. Have you ever received hate on a fic?

I haven't yet, and I hope I never do, although I know that the internet can be a wild place.

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

If you'd asked me back in July of this year, I would have said that I primarily write fade to black. Since then, I've written ridiculous amounts of smut. I'm still learning about various kinks I'd like to write about, because I don't want to just write without knowledge of the act itself, but I'm wading into the smut-verse now. I'd say the water's up to my knees, at this point. Got a ways to go.

10. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Not that I'm aware of.

11. Have you ever had a fic translated?

Nope, not that I've been made aware of, but I think it would be so neat.

12. Have you ever co-written a fic before?

I haven't but catch me and @thinkof-england cowriting something amazing now that the new year has arrived.

13. What’s your all-time favorite ship?

Y'all are gonna need to sit down for this. I don't think you're ready. Deep breath in. Hold it. Now let it out slowly. Calm your mind. Are you ready? Okay because I know this is going to come as a shock to you when I say that it's FirstPrince.

14. What’s a WIP that you want to finish but don’t think you ever will?

A Star Trek fic with Jim Kirk x an OC. I started it back in the spring and then RWRB happened and now it's just languishing away in my docs at just shy of 18,000 words.

15. What are your writing strengths?

I've been told that I have realistic dialogue, so I'll count that as a strength. I also think I'm pretty skilled at metaphors. Love a good metaphor.

16. What are your writing weaknesses?

The description of surroundings, including clothing and scenery. I feel like I don't do enough of this sometimes, and I'm trying to better at painting a proper picture.

17. What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic?

I've done so! Lots and lots of research and consultation with native speakers to confirm accuracy.

18. What was the first fandom you wrote for?

Pirates of the Caribbean, apparently.

19. What’s a fandom/ship you haven’t written for yet but want to?

There isn't really one out there. I'm super content with the permanent campsite I've built in FP land. Hopefully I'm allowed to hang out there for quite some time.

20. What’s your favorite fic you’ve written?

How am I supposed to pick a favorite out over 60 fics?!

I suppose if I absolutely HAD to pick right now, right this second, I'd say Ghosts, because the prompt for it as my first ever reader-submitted prompt on a comment from another fic. The reader enjoyed my fic so much that they asked if I'd write another, and Ghosts it what came of that interaction. I loved writing it and sharing it not just with that reader but with the fandom as a whole.

I try to!  I do get overwhelmed if I get more than one at a time and I’m also a humongous procrastinator, so I do have a stack of comments I need to reply to at the moment.  I’ll get to em eventually :p

5. What’s the fic you’ve written with the angstiest ending?

Uhm.  Uhhhhh.  Hard to say considering I’ve only written the three fics, but Ascent has an angsty ending in store.  But that’s FAR down the road, I’m hardly a quarter of the way thru it. 

6. What’s the fic you’ve written with the happiest ending?

My smut oneshots LOL.  For real though, Into Ash has a fairly happy ending.  

7. Do you write crossovers?

No and I have zero interest in doing so.

Not yet

Yes, just my oc/Teldryn filth lmao

Can I be biased and say Telwren?  I’m going to. 

14. What’s a WIP that you want to finish but don’t think you ever will? 

I started a oneshot about my dragonborn’s eventual death and the events following shortly after, but I haven’t touched it in ages and likely never will again.  

15. What are your writing strengths?

Setting descriptions, I guess?  

16. What are your writing weaknesses?

I think I fall short on pacing, though I’ve been told otherwise.  Fight scenes are also a huge struggle for me, as well as portraying extreme emotions. 

17. What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic?

I only know English, so any other languages in dialogue would be a word here and there, such as Dovahzul or a few Dunmeris words that I’ve used in my fic.  If I decide a character is going to do some speaking in a different language, I would simply mention it in the dialogue tags and just write the dialogue in English, as to avoid having to translate.  Especially for fictional languages where we don’t have a reliable translation tool. 

18. What was the first fandom you wrote for?

Skyrim lol I’m new to this 

19. What’s a fandom/ship you haven’t written for yet but want to?

Honestly I think after I’m finished with my Skyrim fic, I won’t do any more fandom writing but will venture off to original stories.  If I HAD to choose another fandom to write for, it would probably be like, a oneshot for Pokemon or something

Ascent from the Ashes is my pride and joy and I’m still working on it :)

I think it has to be (we'll always long for) one more song on account of the whole MCD thing 😅 (but they lived a long happy life, I swear!)

Most of them have happy endings, I think, but if I had to pick one, I guess it would be the lie between your teeth, maybe because of all the angst it took to get there lol

I wrote one (and half of the sequel) and started another!

Yeah. If people could not do that, that would be super.

Lol it's very funny that I did not used to write smut at all and now I've been told that my brand is filth and feelings. So yeah. I do write smut and it does tend toward the kinky side of things, but it always has a whole lot of feelings and love and tenderness behind it.

14. What’s a WIP that you want to finish but don’t think you ever will?

The thing about me is that I am extremely stubborn and unwilling to admit that there are things that I'm not going to finish even though the likelihood of me finishing everything in my WIP folder is...basically zero.

15. What are your writing strengths?

I think I'm pretty good at getting inside characters' heads and portraying their emotions. I am also pretty good at weaving bits of canon in to my own story.

16. What are your writing weaknesses?

Descriptions of the way things look. I don't visualize things when I read (i.e., if I read the word apple, I don't see an apple or even the word apple, it's just like, yes, I am familiar with the concept of the apple) so I often struggle with those kinds of physical descriptions. Also, fuckin' dialogue tags.

17. What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic?

I'm not opposed to it if it fits the story and the character but would want to confirm with a native speaker first.

18. What was the first fandom you wrote for?

Rent.

I have not written June/Nora yet but I wanna.
