💖 what is your favorite moment in this WIP?

this one is actually super difficult!! like my favourite moment is probably the very end which like. well. spoilers so we're not going to post that here but it's otherwise like?? it's one of those fics that is sort of like one large piece that is hard to pick apart for me esp since it's not finished. i've also restarted it from scratch three times so there's all this... detritus lmao. so the bit i am choosing to share this is actually technically a deleted scene atp but it might end up reworked in the final piece!!

In the far distance something is screaming. Blood is rushing in Oscar’s ears. He can’t look Lando in the eye; he’s too focused on the part of his lips, the bone-shine of his teeth. There’s old blood on his cheek. Oscar wants to lick it off. His grip goes convulsively tight around Lando’s wrists where he’s pinned them to the cool stone wall. He exhales, long, shuddering. They’re so close. Lando’s skin is so hot that it feels warm even against Oscar’s feverish face. “Go on, then,” Lando says.  He kisses him. Not kind or soft or gentle. There’s no room for that here. He kisses Lando how the beasts come for them. Desperate, hungry, violent.  And he tastes blood. And Lando lets him.

can i talk about paleblood? let's talk about paleblood?? if you've been around this rat hole of a blog for a while you've prob seen me talk about bloodborne au and that is.......... paleblood. it's gotten so out of hand. it was just meant to be like oooo violence and body horror and vibes oooo and then it kept growing legs and i have a note on my phone that has just gotten increasingly more unhinged with like weird little quotes and inspiration and clunky timelines. oh god there are like five different drafts of the timeline. there's also three different docs for it right now? something in the last few months has shifted in my brain and i just for some reason could not go in and rewrite the original doc i had to start from scratch. and then i started from scratch again. so. that's fun

there's not even all that much to talk about with it!!!! i just feel crazy about it rn. i've been rewatching vaatividya's lore videos which are super informative and super vibey but i've also been rewatching horror game video essays as well as having a longplay for the game anatomy on repeat and it's like. it's not even october anymore. we are carrying the hauntings and the horrors thru into the next year with us

really though it's edging into getting so pretentious. there's formatting involved. there's poetry and monologuing and i've really lost my mind about it. that's all. THAT'S ALL! sorry this is just a nothingburger of a post but that's why it's a sPoOkY sPoOkY tRiCk 👻👻👻👻👻

In your bloodborne au, do you have any ideas about what weapons they would use? I kinda feel like oscar would be a threaded cane guy

GREAT QUESTION NONNIE i've actually stuck lando with the threaded cane!! he's particularly crazy and fruity in this one so it made a lot of sense to me?? it's also a weapon that i feel lends itself well to fidgeting (tapping the end against the ground, his boot, etc) which feels correct in the lando department

re: oscar he's got like a normie nameless sword at the beginning?? nothing interesting he doesn't even have a trick weapon booo boring. but later on he ends up with the blade of mercy for plot reasons!!

i would have loved to give them some fucking wild weapons, honestly. all of the trick weapons are just so deeply unsubtle?? so writing them is a bit of a challenge while also taking what i'm writing seriously HAHA. if this were an au that i was exclusively daydreaming about/roleplaying in game or whatever and not actually trying to write, oscar i think would have the whirligig saw or the kirkhammer, and lando would have maybe the beast cutter or the boom hammer?? lando's starter would still be the threaded cane but oscar would go for the saw cleaver

Lando looks at him strangely. His mouth twitches, something that wants to bloom but wilts before it can. Oscar pulls him up and kisses it away. Oscar knows that he wants the answer to be no. Lando had wanted Oscar to tell him no, I’d let you live. I’d give myself to you. I’d let you swallow me whole. And Oscar’s not sane, no. But he’s not that far gone. Not yet.
