Such a phrase shouldn't have sounded as good as it did. But he didn't care. Anything from those lips sounded good to him right now. "Well that's what happens when some nutter takes a bullet for a wanker she doesn't even like. The poor fool feels the need to sit by her side and make sure she doesn't kick the bucket."
She couldn't help the smile the spread across her face. "Damn 'wanker'," Bobbi retorted, trying her best to imitate his accent.
Lance smiled down at the blonde in the bed, nodding his head. "Some would call him an idiot in love. Don't know if they'd be right though."
"Well some might say what that 'nutter' did was for love too," she relented.
Hunter leaned in closer and took her hand in his. "Seriously Bob, you need to sleep. Gotta grow yourself a new lung or something like that."
Bobbi laughed, wincing when it hurt. "You'll be here when I wake?"
He nodded, squeezing her hand a little bit tighter. "Always."
