Holly J made her way down the familar path as her mind continued to whirl from the student council meeting she had just left. She was in desperate need of some relaxation and someone to get her mind off of the billions of things she knew she would have to do in the next few days. As much as she thrived in the constant pull in every direction whether it be school, student council, or work she still had a soft spot for those few moments where she got to escape it all and just hang out with her best friend. She approached Fiona’s door, using her key to unlock it. “Fiona, please tell me you already ordered food because I am starving,” she said setting her bag down on the couch and tossing her key on the counter as her eyes scanned for her best friend within the apartment.

For the First Time in Forever

Tuesday arrived faster than Imogen had expected, and at 1:30 she had no better an idea of what to say to Fiona than she had at the time of their last correspondence. She could tell the older woman was worried about her, and only hoped that she would be able to fill the conversation with questions and comments that would keep the discussion squarely on Fiona Coyne. She was more than a little curious as to what her ex-girlfriend was doing back in Toronto, so perhaps if she was lucky there would be enough of a story there to keep the focus off of her own life.

Pushing her concerns to the back of her mind, Imogen pasted a smile on her face as she opened the door and stepped into the cafe. After looking around for a moment, she found who she’d been looking for. “Fiona, hey!” she greeted, making her way towards the girl in question.
