Drew this a little while ago for a fic I've been working on for some time (and have just finished, more or less!), mostly known as 'Bio-nerd Tech & Artist Cross' so far. Thank you @crankyfossil for brainstorming space-bugs with me!

For anyone who can't read my aurebesh handwriting, or don't wanna take the time to look it all up, I've written it out in plain English below the cut.

From the top: The text in the top left corner, with the arrows pointing to the wings, says:

The big chunk of text says:

Eirox, pl. Eiropodes Insect, native to Di Xiu, named for healing deity Eir, believed to have medicinal properties, very rare due to over-hunting and limited suitable habitat.

The word right above that, at an angle, is 'Doc'.

The three lines towards the bottom, with the arrow pointing to the tree-like thing on the right, says:

Homebrew D&D

I started a monthly D&D campaign at an environmental center I am on the board for. The campaign is completely homebrew with a map I designed based on the wetland that the environmental center is located at. I throw in a lot of native animals and creatures from the D&D monster manual, but I've also been throwing in some random new creations as well.

I thought it would be fun to share them here. Feel free to throw them into your own games if you like. These two aren't too fancy stat wise, they were just something pretty I wanted as a rare creature the party had to save from poachers in our second session.

Dancer Butterfly

Uses the same stats as a regular D&D butterfly, except the Dex is 16 (+3)

Deep blue with accents of shimmering gold. These butterflies have elongated apexes of their hind-wings that look like ribbons. Their movements are quick and they spin as they fly creating a dancing motion in the air. They have adapted this unique movement to make it easier to feed from their preferred food source, Taunting Milkweed.

The wings of a dancer butterfly can be ground down for a potion ingredient, but many wings would be needed. There are other more common ingredients that are more potent and useful. The Dancer Butterfly is most commonly desired for their ascetic alone and are often poached/hunted for collections in private gardens or in a pinned display.

Taunting Milkweed

Tall flowers with a cluster of red flowers that come from a single bud. Each flower is streaked with delicate lines of gold as well as a sparkling gold pollen that matches the gold on the Dancer Butterfly, that almost exclusively eats nectar from Taunting Milkweed. The stems of the plant are very loose yet strong which causes them to tilt and move easily in the wind. The Dancer Butterfly adapted to feed from the erratic movements it makes.

Due to the popularity of the plant for private gardens, and the belief that the golden nectar would increase a person's magical ability (a myth), the Taunting Milkweed was harvested almost to extinction. The entirety of the milkweed is edible and can be used as an ingredient in healing medicines and potions.
