The current world building map of Sanctus. Currently the stories I’ve worked on have all taken place in the northwest continent of Ossen. But I more or less have some blurb about the other places so if anyone is curious, feel free to ask. XD

Here's the results of some fun with my scanner, overlapping the layers in GIMP, and trying to match the contrast and saturation settings between each layer. Originally consisted of six pages of pen and colored pencil on grid paper. Things are still slightly crooked here and there, but I'm okay with that. I'm using this version as the base for a purely digital version next, using the grid and the snap to grid setting to smooth it out.
This is a map of approximately half the planet for my story setting; the green lines indicate the poles and equator. Each square represents 2 degrees latitude and longitude, so it is extremely distorted and large close to the poles. My goal is to someday work out a full globe and make a three dimensional model. :)
You have seen the maps on top before, but that's for comparisons sake.
Over the year I played a fair amound of time with Guild Wars 2 again, and one thing tha always struck me was the way they presented the map. you zoom out and the map is less detailed, but because it so far away it does not matter, all the little pixels of details just get in the way of the overall image. Then again, all the detail is very nice and shows the scale of the entire map.
I like maps, problem is I dont have the patience anymore to draw one. So I played with photoshop brushes on this one, working with blops of color and adding more colores for shading texture on top. I like the look, but then it comes go getting closer and doing more details, I lost my patience again.
still, I like the look and would like to tackle this again at some point.
Manatee and Walrus people.
Non domestic cat people.
full scale merfolk women
Dragons in mid form for non beast battle action
Centaurs with horse faces.
a bunch of people
a traditional fantasy veteran group.
and my world map that I made more sense recently. World building is fun but takes a long time.
