Do any of ya’ll who are wolves or foxes or cats get uncomfortable when people want to find rare therians with rare theriotypes… like I love rare kintypes as much as the next guy but all therians/otherkin are a rarity and I think we should focus more on what we have in common and less about who’s the coolest. Idk. A lot of my packmates have rare kintypes and that’s cool and all but I don’t think that makes them cooler than me or my fox packmates. 🌀

Y'all I just wanted to say that I discovered that I have a new otherheart type! I've known for a year now that I'm opossum otherhearted and I just discovered that I'm Fluttershy otherhearted too!! 💛🦋

To me (and my understanding of it) being otherhearted (or fictionhearted in this case) means I have a deep, personal connection to the My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic character Fluttershy.

I identify with her qualities and cherishing her as family, rather than literally identifying as her (which is known as fictionkin).

Some of my personal experiences included:

Identifying with but not as her. I'm fully aware that I have a human body and live in a human world, but Fluttershy’s personality, traits, and experiences deeply resonate with my core sense of self!

2) Connection over an identity. I personally share a strong, involuntary emotional bond with her as a character. I have this feeling like she is a close, adopted family member or a deeply reflective guide to me!

3) Embracing her element of harmony: I strongly relate to her Element of Kindness. This to me being her profound empathy toward animals and nature, her quiet introversion, and her journey to find assertiveness and overcome social anxiety!

I see so much of myself in her. Her shy nature, her kindness, her love for animals. She's such a reflection of myself that she's a part of myself and my identity. However I'm not her but I feel like we have such a deep connection that she's apart of my very being.
