Box of Rocks
I was given most of these rocks as a birthday gift after putting them on my Amazon wishlist several years ago. I can not locate the original listing.
Stimieness 4/10 this is a decently nice stim when it's what I'm looking for, maybe as something to ground myself with, but it's generally not what I need.
Durability 8/10 I was able to break some of my rocks by throwing them at the floor, but it took a conscious effort.
Messines 7/10 the rocks don't really get any messier when they break, but they're small and can get all over the place and lost.
Noise 2/10 my rocks tend to make loud sounds when they bump against each other, but the noise they make doesn't bother me.
Category Rub and Squash I like to put my hand in the box or rocks, which provides some pressure, and they also feel nice and smooth, as well as making a nice sound.
Overall 6/10 I definitely like to have them, and I use them sometimes, but not very often, as they're very impractical to use outside of my room. I also don't use them very often, because they are not usaly what I want, but I don't regret requesting them.
Roller Chain Fidget

^my picture
This fidget was bought for me as a gift from my wishlist from amazon, where it cost $11.59 and came in a set with an infinity cube, a two-lobed fidget pad, and three bike chain flippy fidgets.
Stimmieness 8/10 I like to stim with this fidget by rolling it around my thumb. It feels kind of like one of those massage wire ring thingys.
Durability 10/10 I tried to break it, but i couldn’t. the rubber rings might break eventualy, but I’m pretty confident they’ll last at least a year.
Messieness 9/10 I haven’t broken it, but if it does ever break I think I’ll be left with two or three easily disposable peices.
Noise 8/10 it makes a very quiet noise when i fidget or stim with it, and if i tap it I can get it to be a little louder.
Category: Squash and Joint, also some Squish. I can fidget with it by squishing the joints around or I can stim with it by rolling it around my thumb, which provides pressure.
Overall 8/10 it’s not always the kind of thing I want, but I can use it multiple different ways, and it’s quite durable.
Hello!
@polarbearqueen3527 is my main, but this sideblog will be for reveiwing fidgets.
For now, I will only be reveiwing fidgets I purchased myself or received as a gift, but if you want to send me something to reveiw, send me a message. I will be suprised, though.
Why I Fidget
I’m autistic, and I have ADHD and dyspraxia. I like different fidgets and stims for different reasons, and purposes, but overall I use fidgets and stimmy thingys for sensory regulation and to prevent myself from subconsiously destroying things. I would describe myself as a destructive fidgeter, so durability matters a lot for me in fidgets.
My Current Rating System:
I rate my fidgets in several categories, because the importance of different traits will be differnt for differnt people.
Stimmieness is a measurment of how nice a fidget is to stim with. It is very subjective, since differnt people like differnt stims. Stimmieness is measured on a scale from zero to ten, zero being that I would not use it to stim ever, one being that I can stim with it but can stim better without it, and ten being that I could not get myself to stop stimming with it, and the occasional negative number for if a fidget is sensoryly unpleasent.
Durability is a measurment of how long the fidget lasted before I broke it, or how hard it was to break. Durability is less subjective, but I fidget very destructively so it may not be as much of a concern for many. If a fidget can be disassembled and reassembled it may have a disassemblement threshold and a destruction threshold. Durability is measured on a scale from zero to ten, zero being that it seems likely others would accidently break it with typical use, one being that it broke on its first use, and ten being that I could not break it, even though I tried.
Messiness is a measurment of how much mess it makes when it inevitably breaks. It can be subjective, since some are bothered by certain messes more than others, but it is mainly objective. Messiness is measured on a scale from zero to ten, zero being that it cannot be cleaned up and will soil whatever it gets on, one being that it explosively releases a thin liquid or fine powder, and ten being that it is still in one piece post-destruction.
Noise is a measurment of how much noise it makes when used. This is a very objective category, because loud and quiet are not very debateable. Noise is measured on a scale from zero to ten, with zero being that it makes an unpleasent beeping, one being that it disturbs people in other rooms, and ten being that I can not hear it at all when I use it.
Category is a measurment of what kind of stim or fidget I get from using it. A fidget falls into one (or occasionaly more) of the following categories:
Sculpt: Something that I can sculpt or doodle with, basicaly a fidget that is used artisticly
Resist: Something that I can pull to get restistence from
Rub: Something that I like to rub on my hand or face
Spin: Something that I can spin
Click: Something that I can make click into place
Squish: Something that I just squish around
Joint: Something with joints that I can make into shapes by turning at joints
Puzzle: Something that I use logic on
Squash: Something that provides pressure
Watch: Something that I stare at
Here is a sample reveiw, on a cat. (disclaimer: no cats were harmed or aquired in the making of this example)
Cat
I bought this cat from RickRoll, where it cost 10,000,000,000 US dollars, and came in a set of three.
Stimmieness 10/10 I love to stim with this cat, it is very soft and smooth.
Durability 10/10 I tried to break this cat, but it broke me instead.
Messieness N/A Because I could not break this cat, it does not get a messieness raiting. It did, however, shed everywhere.
Noise 4/10 Sometimes this cat was nice and quiet, but other times it made loud purrs and hisses.
Category Rub I use this cat by petting it’s soft back. It also provides some squash, since it weighs 15 pounds.
Overall 5/10 I really like to stim with this cat, but it is expensive and not very practical to use in many situations, and it requires maitinence.
