It was my first time to join a school fieldtrip. Ever since I was in kindergarten, my parents told me that we'll go to the places my classmates will go to during the fieldtrip and we did. We went to every single place they went. But they didn't know what I was missing, it was the interaction with my classmates and friends during the school activity. I didn't get to socialize with them. I'm not rebelling against my parents' decision, I'm simply expressing what I think is missing from me. I know that their only intent was for my own safety.
As a son of a minister, studying at New Era University, well finally! I got to join the school fieldtrip. I really didn't know what happens during a fieldtrip, but I was still very excited! I was very mischievous throughout the whole activity. I went from here to there, I was very noisy at the bus and I sat on every seat! I was really hyped up.
So sharing my experience, here it goes. Chronologically ordered!
We first went to the Presidential Car Museum located at the Quezon Memorial Circle where we saw luxurious vintage cars dating back to the early 1900's. We beheld the cars of Emilio Aguinaldo if I'm not mistaken up to the car of Former president Gloria Macapagal Arroyo. We even saw the car of General Macarthur! I really enjoyed that place first because I'm a car enthusiast and I love to drive, and second is because I'm very fond of history and I enjoy studying it.
We then went to Art in Island where it was like we entered a portal leading to a world of vast vibrant atmosphere. It was full of colors and arts and mosaics. You can even take illusionary pictures because of the 3D painted paintings and drawing and sculptures. What I really enjoyed there was the art with red and yellow, the mustard and ketchup of the masterpiece I ate, the hotdog in sandwich hehe. I was really hungry at that time so I had no choice but to eat. And I also appreciated the large cat mosaic because I really adore cats! I'd give them everything they need!
To eat lunch and wait for the opening of our last destination, we went to the SM Mall of Asia where we ate at Bonchon and itchy spots appeared on my face. At first I thougt it was allergies because it was extremely hot over there. So I bought some anti-allergy medicine and it lessened the itchiness.
We then walked to the sea side where the scorching heat of the sun almost burned my umbrella. So we went back to the mall, stayed and sat at the stairways near the sea and waited for time to pass. Before going to the bus, I bought some really delicious ice cream on waffle! Cookies and cream flavor.
Then we went to our final destination. To Star City. It was about 11 years ago the last time I went here and the place didn't change that much. We first went to the haunted house where I once was very afraid of but now, I'm one with the simulating robots who scared my classmates! They screamed so loud that they can be heard from the depths of Tartarus, and reach the deep slumber of Hades in the underworld! I really enjoyed frightening them. So malefic of me.
Next is we rode the space ship ride that went on a clockwise pace. I didn't enjoy that ride too much because I was alone on my cart and it was just so boring to be honest.
We then went to the Annex where almost all of classmates and me lined up for the Frisbee! It was a very long line but the moment we fastened our seatbelts and safety equipments, the only thing we could do was pray that we won't die. The ride was extremely extreme! It scared the crap out of me! For 5 minutes I screamed! I shouted "AYOKO NA AYOKO NA AYOKO NA" continuously. The ride was like a flickering switch. We would be at the peak, seeing the majestic sky with the last fragments of sun rays from the setting sun, fhat sight was really marvelling. Then we'd fall and that was really really frightening! I almost passed out but I did my best to shout and scream to release the tension that was building up in me. After the ride I just sat down the chair, and took a nap because my head felt like it was being cracked into two.
We then ate at the food court of the entertainment centre where I took pics of course and we had our chats and talks. The whole time we were with out adviser.
Then we decided to go for our last ride, the ferriswheel. We were at the peak of the centre where we saw the overwhelming night life of the cities in Manila. We saw thousands of lights of cars and buildings, street lights and we saw the astonishing moon and night sky that left me awestruck. My crestfallen self suddenly faded, I was filled with bliss as I am also inlove with the night.
We then went back to the bus to commence our journey back to the school. It was a 30 minute drive and the moment we arrived at school, I said my farewells and thanks m, my brother was waiting for me. It was a really nice experience for a first timer like me. I had the best of fun not because of the places, but because of the people I interacted with and enjoyed the moments with. But the most memorable of all, is the fact that my spots were actually chicken pox papules and later on, I had chicken pox. So I couldn't attend classes for a week but atleast, I reveled and had fun before succumbing into misery.
