          She may have done it once before, but only out of necessity. She didn’t want to shoot a kid, to the girl’s question takes her aback. Though she was alone, and it seemed like the girl could handle herself, she still didn’t want to kill her. Which wasn’t a smart thing on Carol’s part. Failure to follow through with a threat could end up costing her own life.

          But she didn’t care.

          “I’m not going to hurt you.” She sounds defeated. “Why are you out here alone? And with a baby...”

The sun is shining, a light breeze making sure the temperature doesn’t get too hot; it’s beautiful and Shiva is in heaven. The tiger has spent most of the day worshiping the sun and rolling in the dirt, although she is currently cleaning one of her legs in long broad strokes. Shiva doesn’t see Clem as a threat and is happy to remain relaxed when the little girl sits by her. She makes a welcoming chuff, chuff, before deciding to bond with her in the best way she knows how; putting a giant paw on her and licking her hair.

{ ღ } - - ;; Cerulean eyes met the other’s own with a frightened gaze . Perched high up in a tree , Serafina watched below her with baited breath . She had hoped the stranger would pass right by her without noticing , just like everyone else . The fact that this girl seemed to spot her struck Serafina as mildly impressive . 

     She carefully raised both of her hands , balancing on the tree’s limb high above .  “ I don’t have a weapon , I’m not going to hurt you . ” She murmured , keeping her voice down , “ I swear . ”
