i don't have a very exciting life lol but hmm hang out with cats! i don't have any of my own, nor am i in a place to be adopting new pets, but i befriended a couple of neighbours' cats this year, though i'll probably be moving soon so won't see much of them any more. and when staying with my parents i like to pet the ex-strays who hang out at the local allotment when they want some sun, and visit an auntie's very small and nervous housecat (she warmed up to me pretty quickly though! #proud) when i have the energy to travel a little. i really like the company of cats, they are such funny little creatures.

Spoilers for all of Merlin S2, and AU to the end of 2.08, "The Sins of the Father", in which Merlin does not lie to Arthur. He opened his mouth, a denial on the tip of his tongue, but the words wouldn't come out; in the back of his head he could hear a litany of voices saying traitor, traitor, traitor over and over, and he didn't know whether they meant Uther or himself.

sorry to keep bugging you for links to old interviews/appearances, but your tumblr is such a fount of knowledge on them that I thought I'd ask! I'm looking for the post-STID appearance that Chris and Zach did with JJ and Alice Eve on the Russian show Evening Urgant - I've only really seen the part that's featured in the "Best of Zachary Quinto and Chris Pine" compilation, where they're both cracking up over something, but I can't find a live link to the whole show, unfortunately!

oh man, I hadn't really watched any Pinto-related videos since 2013, and two that I'd forgotten about until now were when Zach NAMED A DOG CHRIS PINE (Susan Blackwell is TOO CUTE when she hears what he said), and when Chris and Zach meet Sophia Grace and Rosie at the 2013 MTV Movie Awards. I just felt the need to squee about the first one, but regarding the second, that video seems to be gone from YouTube - any chance you have a copy or surviving link?

In the morning, Eames will fix the wall and put up the shelves and Arthur will burn the waiter's uniform, both for good taste and to destroy evidence, and afterward they'll rehang the painting. It's funny, Mal said it, Eames said it, and it's only now, when Arthur already has it that he trusts it, that he knows it, too — that he can do anything, that he can have everything he wants.

This paragraph (and the one currently after it, previously before it) actually TORTURED THE FUCK out of me as I was writing Presque Vu. I think I've talked about this before, about how I wanted to close the story -- which is a heavy, oftentimes dark thing, for all that it let me write some completely fantastical fantasy -- on a note that felt exuberant, energized, joyful, and most importantly wide-open, optimistic, huge. And I struggled for ages trying to figure out whether this paragraph or the other was best at conveying that sort of dizzy elation. When I initially posted it, this was the closing salvo for the story -- after I stupidly accidentally deleted it, and found myself reposting, I swapped them, and I'm so fucking glad I did. I love this paragraph. I love the domestic sentiment, the sweetly anticipatory nature of it, but it made so much more sense for me to close the story with the word "free," which is something that Arthur had wanted from the first and will to the last, I think.
