Prompt: sender makes friendship bracelets with receiver.
Rosa leans over a table exhaling softly as she fiddles with the rope for the umpteenth time. Something between perfectionism and nervousness driving her actions, she wasn’t much of a creative creature, only really making things when she needed them. They were shoddy attempts at best, and just plain barely usable at worst. Torrent would certainly be sending his judgmental looks her way if he was awake, but thankfully he was taking his evening nap.
The little bracelet, nothing expensive just little trinkets like shells, wooden charms, and pretty rocks made with rope she carefully wove herself. It was dumb, yeah, or at least she thought so, but… Yuletide was special to her, and this was the year she finally had a friend to share something with.
She approached him, clearing her throat to not startle him, and opened her mouth to explain… only for the words to just kinda die there. She just sighed instead holding out the bracelet. “Here… I know it’s not your usual… style… but I wanted to try. Merry… yeah.”
The spawn's eyes lazily shifted to the movement of the druid woman as she approached his sanctuary with some kind of object clasped between her dainty fingers. He would humour her, for she and Torrent were the only companions he had for now. Truthfully, their hospitality didn't mean much to Astarion, however he was at least relieved that he'd befriended a bountiful meal if it ever came down to that.
"--Oh," He placed his hand on his chest in sarcastic astonishment. "for me? Darling, you shouldn't have." The vampire hesitantly accepted Rosa's gift, pinching it between his index finger and thumb as if it were a maggot-infested rat carcass. He studied it attentively, with a glace her and a look of confusion there. "No, really, you shouldn't have." He honestly had no idea what it was or what it symbolised, but he wasn't particularly interested enough to ask either. Perhaps it was merely a druid custom that he was obviously unfamiliar with. To keep up appearances, and not seem at all too ungrateful, he flashed Rosa a toothy grin and uttered, "--I mean...this is more than I expected to receive from you today," He haphazardly tossed the bracelet a small distance up into the air and swiftly caught it in his palm, pushing it down into his back pocket. "--thank you, my dear." He was already planning how to dispose of it.
