Ben frowned, glancing down to his outfit. “What?” he asked, putting his hands out in defeat. “I thought I looked nice? It’s new.” Maybe this was the last time that he would let Hope take him shopping if he was going to get reactions like this. “What’s wrong with it?”

“Nice to see you too...” he replied a quietly. He didn’t expect Alana to be happy with him but he couldn’t lie that he was somewhat hoping that she was going to be happy to see him. It was stupid, he knew that, but that didn’t stop him from being hopeful. “How are you doing?” he asked, hoping to at least get the opportunity to talk to her.

Ben rolled over, realizing that he was wrapped up in all the blankets and Rey had none. He groggily shook his head, softly mumbling an apology to them. “Hmm... sorry.” He pulled the blankets out from under him and made sure to put them over Rey, pulling her a bit closer. He wasn’t used to having to share with someone else, but he definitely wasn’t complaining.

“I - I don’t know.” He really didn’t. He could barely trust himself anymore, especially not after how easily he had slipped back into his old ways recently. He was so afraid of hurting those around him, harming everyone he cared about. He wouldn’t ever do that again, he couldn’t. Maybe it was just better that no one trusted him again. They would be safer that way.

“Do you really think so?” he asked, looking over at Ahsoka with obvious gratitude in his eyes. It meant everything that she saw that within him, that Ahsoka saw that he was still more than the monster he used to be. It was something he was having a hard time dealing with lately so their comment gave him a burst of confidence. “I’m so afraid that I lost who I used to be before the mask.”

“I know that.” How did he get so lucky to have Rey in his life? He didn’t know. Taking their hand in his own, he gave it a gentle squeeze. “I would do anything for you. No matter what. You are my everything.” He pressed a soft kiss to the top of her head.

"Well I don’t remember asking your fashion input, but thanks anyways.” He rolled his eyes. No one was going to get Ben to stop wearing all black, especially not Jyn. “Maybe you should wear more black? It really is a great color for anyone.”
