That's literally the point of the episode! Mycroft saw her as a danger, saw sentiment as a weakness so he isolated her and used her when he needed things solving, just as mycroft didn't realise how emotional Sherlock is last episode. Sherlock realised that caring isn't a weakness, realised that Eurus wanted love and people to play with, and in a way he gave her that. The whole point is "love conquers all" and this was the Holmes boys realising that.
It’ll never cease to amaze me the Tumblr trend of responding to liveblogs with spoilers a person logically hasn’t gotten to yet, thus ruining the element of surprise and storytelling.

The cook is such a nice guy. I love this show. It's such a nice thing to watch before bed
I feel like it's not a real lead up to a JJBA season finale unless I ask "What is this? Sailor Moon?" at least once (not in a bad way of course)
