Shaw paused the screen from where she lay on the room's small sofa. Her hair left marks where she rested her head, still wet from the shower she had taken in an attempt to soothe her aching limbs. She had looked this footage over and over now. Despite her exhaustion, she was still burning with curiosity, fueled further by the affirmation that their DNA matched that of the Engineers. Whether they were dead or not, they had still been here once. They had still made humans. Though, the contamination of the head still concerned her...
Restlessness hummed through her. She had wanted to tell Charlie, hoping the news would improve his mood, but he had yet to return to their room. Sitting there alone, the room suddenly felt too empty, the footage too discouraging. Securing her robe tighter, she slipped on the uniform sandals and stepped out into the hallway.
After a moment's deliberation, she decided to head for the center of the ship. If she didn't find Charlie around one of the open rooms, she'd at least be able to go to the cabin and speak to Janek. Aside from miss Vickers' pod, and Janek's habit of sleeping in the cabin, all the personal quarters stretched along the same hallway. The rooms were more and less identical, though the inhabitants were permitted to do as they liked with them. So far, she hadn't done more than light some incense and, of course, move Charlie's things in with her.
Without rushing, she made her way down the hall, reading the name on each door. One gave her pause. She had been intending to look for Charlie, but...surely she owed Fifield an apology for the events earlier that day? Deciding he could wait-- and hopefully, sober up-- she tapped gently at the door, trying not to disturb him any more than she had to.
