Sean & Kimber // Decisions Have to Be Made
Summary: William comes home to find Sean in bed with Kimber, and the woman has to face multiple controversial decisions.
Meyghaenn [5/6/2014 11:16:14 PM] Meyghaenn: Kimber started to wake up as the sun shone in from the high windows in her bedroom with William. She felt an arm wrapped around her, but there was something warmer about it that she didn't expect. She rolled over, opening her eyes to see Sean's sleeping face. Smiling, Kimber leaned over to kiss his lips, trying to slowly bring him to consciousness. "Love," she whispered against his lips. "I'll make you omelets, if you wake up and eat me out first..." She grinned at her own joke, pushing some of his hair out of his face as she ran her fingers over his cheeks. He was so beautiful, and perfect, and just... everything that Kimber had wanted. And she had a whole other day with him, because William wasn't scheduled back until late tomorrow. Once he felt her lips on his though he began to feel more awake though he was still fighting it. His eyes opened though when she mentioned eating her out and food. Her eyes went wide, and she reached down to pick up the sheets to cover her body. Her mouth fell open, and she tried to think of what to say. "I-- William, I... I can explain. He didn't wat to make anything worse but at the same time Willian better be smart about how he handles this situation.

[5/7/2014 6:08:53 PM] Meyghaenn: When William talked about the video cameras, Kimber wanted to slap herself in the forehead. She hadn't even thought about him having cameras. She reached over and grabbed the blanket, pulling it off the bed with her and wrapping it around herself as she took a step closer to William. "There actually are a few things to explain. So if you'll just let me get dressed, we can talk about this, and sort things out, okay? Don't... don't say things in your anger." He gestured for Sean to leave as well. Sean looked over at Kimber as he grabbed for his boxers putting them on. "I'm not going anywhere." He stared William down and William did the same. [5/7/2014 6:18:29 PM] Meyghaenn: Kimber glanced over, meeting Sean's eyes. She didn't want him to go, but it might be for the best. Still, when he said he wasn't leaving, Kimber didn't argue. She just grabbed her clothes and walked into the bathroom, shutting the door behind her as she changed as quickly as she could. Once she was dressed, she came back out of the room, walking closer to William. "Do you want to go sit in the drawing room?" she asked him. "I could get you some tea?" [5/7/2014 6:43:38 PM] megan.anderson87: William didn't say anything just leaned against the door frame with his arms crossed. Sean decided it was best to get fully dressed so that's what he did. Kimber came into the room as Sean finished buckling his jeans.
William looked over at Kimber and wordlessly walked toward the living room expecting the two of them to followhim. Sean picked up his shoes as he gave Kimber a meaningful look. He wanted her to know that he was there for her no matter what. They all went downstairs and William sat on the sofa looking at Kimber. "So fucking explain? Why the fuck would you do that to me right before our wedding with a fucking neanderthal no less? I never thought you of all people would be such a heartless slut."
Sean clinched his fist and glared at William. "This is the last fucking time I'm going to tell you to watch it." [5/7/2014 6:47:25 PM] Meyghaenn: When William started to walk down the stairs, Kimber met Sean's eyes, and swallowed hard. Everything that she'd wanted to avoid was happening right now, and she knew that she had to work really hard to keep this from blowing up on her. She'd fucked up, and now she had to try and remedy it. William sat down, and Kimber stood in front of him a few feet, clasping her hands together. He called Sean a neanderthal, and then called Kimber a slut, and Sean jumped in. Kimber turned to him, and held out a hand. "Sean, stop," she said, shaking her head at him. Then she turned back to William. "This... isn't a conversation that I... wanted to have with you when you were angry. Because now, I guess it really doesn't matter what I say to explain... but, I'll go along with any story you want. You can say that you broke it off with me yourself, if you want to. Important people are coming to our wedding. All this means is that I need to keep a closer eye on you." He looked at Sean shaking his head. Sean looked over at Kimber wondering what she was going to say to that. I cheated on you." She moved her eyes back up as she tried to read what he was really feeling. "I... I don't want to be with you," she told him, her voice quiet. "I want to be with Sean." He put his hand through his hair. "I thought we were happy. How is this guy going to provide you with anything comparable with what I can provid you?" Sean glared at William but kept quiet knowing he had to let Kimber take care of this. [5/7/2014 7:20:39 PM] Meyghaenn: Kimber flinched when William stood up and yelled at her. "I.. I don't know! That's what we should figure out together, the best thing to say so that it doesn't hurt you. I'd tell them anything, William. Because I do care about you." She sighed, looking down at the ground. "We were happy. But I'm happier with him. I've always been happier with him. And maybe he doesn't have as much money as you, but he can give me a lot. He's a Gillespie, and a Crumkoft, and you should be careful what you say in your anger, William," she told him softly, shaking her head. William shook his head at her not undering it one bit. Once the name 'Crumkoft' was mentioned he shook his head. "First of all who the fuck are the Gillespies? That name doesn't mean anything to me. Second of all the Crumkofts are a bunch of self serving manglomaniacs who are always opposing things that would help Britain. You really want to associate with that." Sean's fist balled up ready to punch him as soon as Kimber turned around or let him. [5/7/2014 7:32:00 PM] Meyghaenn: "I don't see it like that," Kimber said, shaking her head. When he started to diss Sean's family, Kimber held up a hand to stop him. "First of all, Kyle Gillespie, Sean's father, is a high official in the Ministry. Second of all, the Crumkofts have done a lot of good, William, just like the Hartfords have. Really, instead of fighting each other, you should work together. That's how politics should work. But that's not the point," she said, reaching up to rub her temples. "I'm sorry I hurt you. I... didn't handle this well. But I want to be with Sean, and I want to do this right from here on out. So how do we do that?" [5/7/2014 7:46:30 PM] megan.anderson87: William looked at Sean for a moment raising an eyebrow. "You're Kyle Gillespie's boy?" He shook his head mumbling under his breath "Like father like son." Sean walked closer to William now that he was insulting his father too. "You really need to keep your mouth shut." He continued shaking his head at Kimber. "You never understood its a power grab that's what politics is." He then walked over to the sofa shaking his head. "You can't make any of this right." [5/7/2014 7:48:12 PM] Meyghaenn: "Sean!" Kimber yelled, turning around to face him. "Just let me handle this," she told him, then looked back at William. "It shouldn't be like that. The good politicians don't think of it like that." When he said that she couldn't do anything, Kimber sighed and looked down at the ground. "So what? I just pack my bags then? Is that what you want me to do?" [5/7/2014 7:53:48 PM] megan.anderson87: William looked up at Kimber shaking his head. "All politicians think about it like that even the Crumkofts. Even Kyle Gillespie. Who... has a repuation in some circles now for his politics but for his personal conquests back when he started." Sean rose his eyebrows at William. "You don't know a dam thing about my dad. I swear to fucking god I'm going to punch you." William gestured over at Sean and then looked over at Kimber. "Class act he is. Yeah just pack your shit and go. I'll think of something since you don't want to do the right thing and fix your mistake properly." [5/7/2014 7:56:31 PM] Meyghaenn: "No they don't!" Kimber said, starting to get upset with him. "I know the Crumkofts, and they don't think of it like that. Owen Crumkoft didn't think of it like that, and neither does Casey!" She bit back her sarcastic retort about how maybe his family did look at it that way, knowing it would be a bad decision. Kimber turned to glare at Sean again, then turned to William. "I do want to fix it properly. Tell me what to do, and I'll do it. Anything." [5/7/2014 7:59:04 PM] megan.anderson87: "Trust me they do. They are just a lot more secretive about it." Sean was impressed and honored that Kimber was defending his family so much. It felt good to see that. "The one thing you can do to fix this is to keep your promise to me." When he said that he wanted her to stay with him, Kimber looked at him with narrowed eyes. "Why would you even want me after this? You're going to stay loyal to me, after I told you that I would rather be with him?" Given time he would prove that the Crumkofts played the game just as much as his family did. "I made a promise to you and everyone is looking to me to fulfill that promise. So I will. If we break things off it will hurt my reputation and destroy yours. Which you know. So yes that is what I want for you to stay." [5/7/2014 8:31:35 PM] Meyghaenn: Kimber watched him with careful eyes as he spoke. Then, when he was finished, she looked down at the ground. "How could you do that? Love me, after everything? How could you sleep in the same bed as me if you knew I wanted someone else? How could you fuck me when you knew that I would rather it be him? All for your bloody reputation? I could understand this if you hadn't seen what you saw, but... William. We obviously don't have what we thought we have. How could we live together in a marriage without it?" Not only that I did ask you to marry me for a reason. We could work it out and try harder for each other." He looked up at Kimber hoping she would consider this. "I mean we built a life together." [5/7/2014 8:43:08 PM] Meyghaenn: Kimber was quiet, and she thanked Merlin that Sean was quiet, too. She watched William's face as he spoke, trying to find something there that he wasn't saying. The woman already knew her decision: she wasn't going to be staying. She couldn't stay with a man that she didn't want to be with. But she wanted to find out something, first. "Why did you ask me to marry you? Was it because you loved me, or was it because I was smart enough, and pretty enough, to help your reputation? Was I just the poor, brilliant girl that the Hartford golden boy was nice enough to pull out of the pits of her ridiculous social standing? Should you be rewarded for finding such a gem among the stones? Is that what this really is?" "I asked you because I love you and because you have a good story. Quite resilient but I do love you." Sean bit his lip feeling the nerves come back as they twist in his stomach. He was hoping that no matter what William said he was going home with him. [5/7/2014 8:49:49 PM] Meyghaenn: When William spoke, Kimber believed him. She stepped closer to him so that she could kneel down in front of him as he sat on the couch, and she met his eyes. "I know you do," she told him sadly, with a small nod. "But I don't love you as much as I should, William. And you don't deserve that. You deserve better than someone who belongs to someone else." She leaned up and kissed his cheek. "Let's fix this in a way that your reputation is saved. If we told the real story, that I cheated on you... would that make it better? What story can we tell? I'll say anything." I don't know what would help right now so just go if that's what you are going to do. Just go."
Sean looked over at Kimber asking her what she was going to do with his eyes. [5/7/2014 9:04:17 PM] Meyghaenn: Kimber watched William's face, and when he told her to go, she knew one thing for certain. If she left, she was done. Once again, this was a choice between Sean, and what she'd wanted for her life professionally. She swallowed hard, and pulled away from William. "Okay," she said, rising up off of the ground and moving immediately to the stairs, and to her room, where she pulled out her luggage and started to pack her clothes. [5/7/2014 9:06:49 PM] megan.anderson87: Sean walked up the stairs shortly after Kimber and entered her bedroom. He looked over at her curiously. "You okay? You can come back with me to Scotland." He looked down at his shoes he wasn't sure what to do at the moment. It seemed like the best deciscion he has ever made in a long time is quickly becoming his worst at the same time based on the complications that seemed to follow. "I can help you pack." [5/7/2014 9:09:18 PM] Meyghaenn: "I'm fine," Kimber said as she just kept packing, wanting to get out of here as quickly as possible. She didn't know if William was going to accept this, or if he'd keep trying to fight. "I can pack my own things. All I own is the clothes," she said, grabbing the biggest suitcase, and then walking to the closet, taking her hanging clothes and shoving as many of them as she could in them. Then she took a smaller bag to gather the drawers, trying to keep from shaking as she did it. "I don't know if I should go with you right away. Maybe I'll just go back to my dad's." [5/7/2014 9:16:49 PM] megan.anderson87: "I know you can pack your own things...just wanted to offer my help." He watched as Kimber quickly tried to pack everything up. Once she said that she wasn't going with him he sighed and then nodded his head while he put his hands in his pocket. "I guess." He waited for a few more seconds then started to help her with her packing despite what she originally said. [5/7/2014 9:18:46 PM] Meyghaenn: Kimber didn't say anything as Sean started to help her pack. She just worked frantically, and then once her three bags were packed, she shook her head. "I'll just leave the rest. It doesn't matter." Kimber grabbed her bags, and then started to walk down the stairs dragging them behind her, praying that William was done with it, because she already knew it was going to be bad. [5/7/2014 9:23:33 PM] megan.anderson87: Sean looked as Kimber told him to leave the rest. He looked for another bag and quickly tried to stuff the last of it in there. Mainly because he didnt' want her to have to deal with all of this on her own Once he thought he did a pretty good job of gathering things he walked down the stairs to catch up with Kimber.
William sat on the sofa not saying anything when Kimber came down followed by Sean. He looked over at Kimber nodding toward the door so that they could offficially leave. [5/7/2014 9:26:30 PM] Meyghaenn: When William didn't stop them, Kimber pursed her lips, but headed straight for the door. As soon as she walked out, it was all over. She hesitated for a second at the door, shaking too badly to open the handle. Once she finally got it open she pushed out into the sunlight, walking down the steps and then out of the courtyard as quickly as she could. The gates were open, like they normally were, and she walked right out of them, and then took off down the street, not paying attention to anything. Once she got far enough away, she stopped suddenly, her breathing irregular as she put a hand to her head, pushing the hair out of the way, trying to figure out what to do. She stopped walking looking distessed so he took her hand in his so that she would look at him. "Are you sure you dont want to go back to my place?" [5/7/2014 9:33:21 PM] Meyghaenn: Kimber turned to meet Sean's eyes, shrugging her shoulders. "I don't... know what to do. I dont want to go back to my dad's, but... I don't..." she shook her head, looking down at her bags. "It doesn't matter now," she said with finality. "I'll just go with you. All I wanted was to be with you, so I should just be with you. That's all there is to it, really," she said, grabbing her bag as she held her hand out for him to apparate her. [5/7/2014 9:35:58 PM] megan.anderson87: Sean listened to her as she went back and forward again which made him nervous. Ultimately she held out her hand to him which he took quickly apparating them to his small cottage house in the Scottish highlands "It's simple. I realize. Beautiful views though." He walked up to his door unlocking it before letting Kimber inside. [5/7/2014 9:39:27 PM] Meyghaenn: When he apparated her away, the first thing Kimber noticed, that made her hate herself, was that it was so small. She was surprised that he could even live there, really. But she knew that she had never expected anything until William, and that was something she would have to train herself to do again. They walked inside, and Kimber looked around the cottage. A few paintings, and some pictures. Then a modest kitchen with a stove, and enough cabinet space to hold a couple of cups and a plate. Then a small bed, with a homemade quilt on top of it, in a room a little ways off that didn't have a door. There was also a table, small, with only two chairs. She looked around the place and then just walked into the bedroom, so she could put her bags down before she sat down on the bed. He was nervous still she wasn't acting like a person who had made a clear cut decision. For Sean things were clear cut and incredibly simple he wanted to be with Kimber no matter what. He had wasted time being away from her. He walked over to Kimber who was sitting on the bed and placed a hand on her shoulder before giving her a small smile. "You okay?" [5/7/2014 9:48:19 PM] Meyghaenn: "A man I care about more than almost anyone just walked in on me cheating on him with the man I've always loved," she said, looking up at Sean's eyes. "Still, he begged me to be with him, and I had to hurt him again by walking away. Not only that, but I gave up everything I'd worked on as I broke that man's heart." She reached her hand up to rest on Sean's. "I should have just went with you in the beginning. I'm sorry I didn't." She pulled on him lightly, laying down on his small bed as she laid her head on his pillow. "I was immature back then and you became your own person which is good. I mean obviously I wish things weren't complicated and that you didn't feel bad." He watched as Kimber laid down on his bed. "I just... it feels like you are miserable and I should be making you happy. I always want to make you happy." I'm happier than I've been in years, and that makes me feel guiltier than I've felt since I left you. I hate what I did to William, but I love that I'm back with you. I'm going to miss London, and being a lawyer, but I would do anything to be with you." She shook her head, and closed her eyes. "Let's go back to what it should have been before. You and me in a little house, where you kiss me goodbye every morning, and I take care of things for you here, so that when you come home from the dragons, you can be fed, and warm, and taken care of." He laid on the bed beside Kimber putting his aroumds around her wait to hold her close. He listened carefully when she described what she wanted to go back to. He leaned over and kissed her on the forehead gently. "I do like the image of us living here and kissing you every morning. But....if you want to be a lawyer you'll be one. I keep having to tell you this...honestly. [5/7/2014 10:03:49 PM] Meyghaenn: Kimber let out a huff of a breath as he joked, but then he was down on the bed with her holding her close. She moved even closer and leaned into his arms, her head against his chest. When he told her that she would be a lawyer, Kimber shook her head. "I played the game and lost. William was right, at least partially. In order to make it, you have to play the game, even if you don't mean it. I'm tired of playing it, Sean. I'm tired of working four times as hard for a fourth of the credit. I'm tired of having to outshine everyone just to get noticed by the lowest of them all. I just want to live here and not have to care anymore." [5/7/2014 10:08:45 PM] megan.anderson87: Sean kissed the top of her head as she put her head against his chest. "I don't think William is right. My Uncle Casey was a lawyer before he became Minister and head of the Department of Magical Law. I'm just saying that my dad is always looking for lawyers you should apply to be one of his lawyers. He's not going to hire you because its you. He's going to hire you because you deserve it. I just don't want you to wake up in ten years and regret throwing away something you love to do. But if you really want to live in the simple life then well we're good." What's the point, if we go right back to the mistake we made in the beginning? I'll stay." She leaned in to him, closing her eyes as she listened to his heart beat, refamiliarizing herself with each part of him. He put a hand on her cheek so that they could look one another in the eyes. " I want to be with you but I want to be supportive. So if you want to stay and if five years from now you want to be a lawyer we'll do that. We'll do anything." He kissed her on the lips softly. "I love you so much. I want you forever."
