Any tips?? Any one understand whats going on?
My dad may be a shitty father but one thing im proud of him for is today.
He ran into those burning buildings, while everyone else was running out. He didn't care about himself for once. He put his life at risk to save strangers. He was one of the last firefighters to get out. I didnt hear from him for 2 days afterwards. Two days we had no idea if he was okay or not. Thank God he was. And any of you who keep making jokes about this, just because you didn't lose someone doesn't meant that the person next to you didn't either. I'm sure you'd be different if that was your mom or your dad or sister, brother, etc. September 11th, 2001.
My brother is a firefighter. Last night he came home COVERED in soot and dirt...like from head to toe. It was so bad I made him change on the porch. Well, he sat his boots inside the entry way of the house and now the entire bottom of the stairs smells like a camp fire, which isn't bad. I love me some camp fires...but I digress. We left his FILTHY pants on the front porch so we can clean them off before bringing them inside. He's at work and I worked from home today so I decided I was going to be nice and try to clean them off.
I go outside and pick them up and they are CAKED with soot and dirt...so I hit them on the banister once and holy HELL...I felt like I was suddenly in a dust storm. A PLOOM of dust came off of it so big even the wind blowing didn't push it away from me fast enough so I ended up inhaling it and getting covered in it myself...So, now I'm sitting here coughing and my nose burns from the inhalation of soot that just took place...
Needless to say I think I'm going to need to beat them with a broom or something...
