“ luffy!! ” his eyes are full of excitement as he spots the straw hat pirate, and he’s immediately approaching. when he gets close enough to luffy, he practically scoops him up, squeezing him very hard. “ it’s been so long, i missed you so much!! ” cue him squeezing luffy harder. “ tell me about everything that’s happened since we’ve seen each other last. ”

If someone knew her, and paid attention, they could probably put together a story of her life in photos with the true photos and drawn images in her quarters. She had many of people from her past and present alike as well as meaningful places.

The doors to her room were open, so she didnt mind their guest joining her.

Martha looked up at the sound of his question, "hm?" Canting her head to one side and squinting at the photo he was holding to focus on it. Smiling when she saw which one it was.

"Oh that's my old captain, William and his wife. I inherited this ship from them after I went with them for my first trip to the grand line. We took that photo on my eighteenth birthday. "

she’s running late, overestimating her ability to get the job done in a sufficient amount of time. it’s about 5:00pm when she finally finishes, cleanup takes about twenty minutes, and when she realizes loid won’t be home until very late, she practically sprints home. there was no double checking to see if she’d missed any spots of blood on her face, she had to get home to anya.

finally getting to the apartment, she urgently pushes the door open, taking a moment to catch her breath. she half expects the apartment to be in disarray, but instead she finds anya and luffy planted in front of the tv. “ oh, luffy! i didn’t think you’d be coming over! ” she probably looks like a madwoman now, overtaken by that maternal instinct. but knowing her daughter was in good hands…. “ loid won’t be home for awhile, but i can cook you something! are you hungry? ”

It was easy to say that the whole situation at Whole Cake Island was nothing, but a disaster from the beginning. Sanji never thought that this was how he was going to reunite with the family that he had run away from, a family that he never wanted to return to. A time that was filled with nothing, but suffering moments from him. All because he was different, all because he was considered a failure by his father and brothers. It was only Reiju who treated him right during the time that he was there.

The only one who continued to treat him without throwing punches or kicks in his direction. The only one who never threw harsh words in his direction despite not doing anything to stop their brothers. Reiju was the only one that Sanji didn't hold a grudge against, there was no reason for him to.

The truth eventually came out about the plan that was created by Big Mom and the daughter who was going to play apart of it. A plan to kill Sanji and the family that he was born into for the sake of the power that lingered in the hands of his father. A power that Sanji wanted nothing to do with, he wanted nothing to do with the Vinsmokes or Germa in general. He just wanted to return to the pirate ship that was his home, to return to the crew that quickly became his family.

He didn't want to be here. Despite the tough battle that appeared in front of them, they were able to escape leaving behind the one place that Sanji never wanted to set foot in again. He was not going to return here. His friends that came to Whole Cake for the sake of his rescue where thrilled to have him aboard the Thousand Sunny once again, they had their cook back.

Sanji could be himself again, Sanji could continue to be the cook for this reckless crew of misfits.

The crew had given him the chance to actually sleep properly despite his normal sleep schedule, one that Sanji hadn't been following the last few days. All of them were exhausted though, the exhaustion was mentally and physically especially for him.

It was Luffy who came barging into the room that he was sleeping in who didn't hesitate to drag him out onto the deck. Who he saw caused him to stop in his tracks though

It had been a couple of weeks or so since Martha, along with her crewmates had fought against a navy ship. The young girl had been injured in the fight, being almost blinded by wood splinters when a canon ball struck the railing of the ship so she had been carefully watched by their doctor who was still unsure if she would completely lose sight in her left eye now or not.

She had only just been allowed out and about by their ship’s doctor though under strict instruction not to be too rough with any other crew member since she was still healing. In any case she was excited to see they were going to what looked like to a floating restaurant.

“Whoooaa! Captain thats so cool!” Her visible eye was wide with glee, a big smile on her face. “We’re really gonna eat there?”

The older man snickered. “Thats right.” He ruffled her hair, glad to see her in better spirits. “We’re in the area, so why not stop by?” Martha nodded excitedly in reponse to his question, running to the front of the ship. The crew hadnt been allowed to really see her, since she needed her rest but now they were taking full advantage of her being out and about.

Their navigator caught her as she ran by in a headlock since he was in her blind spot, giving her a noogie. “Nice t’ see ya out and about, squirt!”

Martha yelped and struggled to get out of his hold. “Ow!!! Zachery! Lemme go! Tha’ hurts ya big jerk!” Small hands pushed on his arm to try and get him to let go of her head, not even noticing the ship had come to a stop. “I swear if ya dont let go—!”

The navigator laughed. “Y’ll do what, squirt?”

She…had no comeback for that. But she had enough! Curling herself up to give him a sharp kick to the gut; the gust of wind paired with it knocking him back a couple of yards. The young pirate took that chance to escape from the elder brother torture, hopping over the rails onto the Baratie’s lowest deck though she was quickly followed by her captain.
