When it comes to Trials, the Trials events are separate from the Trial Reward, right? So, for trials that are "fetch quests", where the trial itself involves recovering something—the "goal" object is different from the reward they get FOR getting it? I.e.: Wise Man wants some Bear Butts for a magically heated coat and, as a reward, you can keep the extra fur (maybe for a Neat Scarf)—BUT this is an "extra" reward, and you'll still get to pick a Trial Reward on top?
hello there!
you are correct! the ‘goal’ object for a fetch quest kind of trial is different than the formal reward for the trial. for example, if your muse must locate a certain item, they can absolutely still retain what they collected upon the completion of the trial (provided the trial doesn’t require them to hand it away to someone else).
the official, processed reward for a trial, though, comes from diaidem. this will always be a power or item of some sort, whether one the muse previously possessed, or something new. these are bestowed upon a muse once the mun has completed the trial and sent in the trial reward form.
i hope this helps! good luck completing your trial!
