Sometimes we step out of our office in the hope of finding serenity and restoring sanity. Last month in Japan I finally visited Arashiyama, the place in Kyoto I had been longing to see for years. Standing in the bamboo forest, even with hundreds of tourists, I felt the calmness I haven’t had in a while. In order to capture the serene moment I experienced at Arashiyama, Kyoto in Japan when sunlight came through the leaves of the bamboo forest, I tried to strategically place limited quality of tiny bamboos I have to recreate the atmosphere of a somewhat confined space. (Swipe ➡️) To take the Japan themed picture, I sat by the window for 2 hours when the sun played hide and seek with me. Had to hastily take this video in between shots (pardon the jolt😅) I made the Japanese temple gate (torii) with coffee stir sticks and chopsticks. I was surprised how well it turned out.
