“Is that so?” Jodariel asks, crossing her arms and leaning back. If she has any feelings about Tariq's words, she doesn't show them. “He does already have someone, back in the—back up there. You’re aware?”
The way she corrects herself from what would almost certainly be back in the Commonwealth does not go unnoticed by Tariq.
“I… I am aware, yes,” he replies. “A Harp from the Highwing Remnants, if I’m not mistaken.”
She looks at him, surprise laced with irritation. “He told you that much?”
“No,” Tariq admits. “I only guessed, based on what little information I have.”
The circumstances of the past evening he does not mention, and Jodariel doesn’t pry, either.
“You guessed right,” she says after a while. As she talks, she clumsily unpicks her braid with clawed fingers before plaiting her hair again. “From what he told me, they met as he was stationed at the Bloodborder. Love at first sight, apparently that’s possible after all.” She scoffs.
“You do not approve of their union?” Tariq asks, carefully.
Jodariel pauses her efforts at tying the braid with a scrap of leather, then yanks the knot tight. “Their union is not mine to approve. It isn’t anyone’s to approve besides their own.”
I don’t know what happened to me, but I like it sooo much! (Hedwyn is now a big sparrow, lol )
They have found their way home.
Inktober 2017 day 5 - Long Am sucker for long distance relationship, so drew Hedwyn and Fikani from Pyre. *zombie groans* this is so hard to pull off
Last of the three known harps on Pyre, Fikani Shang! I had fun drawing her.
Ref used: random harp sprite, tamitha sprite (for wings, bcs pam’s are harder to draw than tam) and ofc, fikani head sprite.
“Reunion”
I've been on a bit of a Pyre bender in my sketchbook lately. I'm a sucker for a love story and I love that Hedwyn and Fikani end up together no matter what. Yikes faces are frustrating!
