FiKi Week 2026: 18 - 24th of July

Welcome to one of our favourite events! Yes, the FiKi Week is back <3

During this one week of 18-24th of July we encourage you to post all kinds of fannish creations (fic, fanart, edits, photosets, headcanons, music mixes, anything!) inspired by our beloved pairing.

This year, we return to the 'missing moments' idea, meaning that we encourage you to create something based on the scenes that didn't make it into the final cut of the films.

FiKi Week 2026 - Day 1 - Travelling to the Shire

This year I'm cheating, folks! Back in 2021 for the FiKi Week we already had a theme of 'missing scenes' and I did start a light-hearted little story about the boys, set in a modern setting.

For whatever reason, at the time, I wasn't able to do all the full week, and the story remained unfinished. This year I'm returning to it, and I have written some of my missing entries, but I will also be borrowing the parts from 2021 for some of the days. It will be a mix of old and new. I hope we have enough new faces in the fandom that at least for some of you this will be new and exciting either way.

I leave you to imagine your own version of the main plot points that we all know from the films, but set in this universe.

Fili was on the road.  

This in itself wasn’t an issue – Fili loved road trips: the open spaces, the feeling of freedom as the world whizzed past him, the sensually purring machine between his thighs… 

He even knew where he was going, which was more than he could say for any number of his previous excursions – he’d been sent a very specific address (half way across the country). But he had no idea why he was going there; in a typical ‘Uncle Thorin’ fashion, the text provided the minimum possible amount of detail: just the location, time and date.  

Fili had been summoned.
