This Tumbr aims to provide a platform for the Fili/Kili fandom and community, primarily through running a variety of events throughout the year, encouraging new FiKi content. Due to frequent overlap of interests, we also tend to include in our events other fictional crossover pairings, such as Britchell or DarkHawk.

A fic for @gatheringfiki's AUpocalypse and the prompt "AU based on a Myth". Though strictly speaking it might be more of a crossover.

Fíli and Kíli join Hercules and Iolaus in their fight against the Hydra -- and get some inspiration.

Excerpt:

“And what are you?” Iolaus studied the two newcomers with equal fascination that Kíli was studying the monster. “You’re, like, really short,” he clarified.

“Iolaus!” Hercules hissed. “That’s rude!”

“‘Short’ isn’t an insult!” he protested, shoving Hercules in the side.

Hercules flushed. “Of course not— I didn’t mean…” he stammered.

Iolaus laughed heartily at the pleasure of having gotten his friend. “Anyway,” he said, looking the one with the funny mustache up and down, “I think the blond one is kind of handsome.” He smiled at Fíli, and winked.

Resident Evil took over me and I had to put the boys in it. I am rather proud of this but be cautious. I never wrote anything that dark before. And I am still working on Chapter 5 to get all the thoughts I had with @skulkinspirit over this. As well as with @hyaha-ha-ha - Thank you so much you two for all the sessions of thousands of messages to bounce around and make it more heartbreaking, as well as making my boys a lot more cuter in their gore.

Also: Sharks, I come to you today to convince Capcom to make this an actual game. I would love it.

Rent-A-Fanwork 2026 - Extended!

After consulting with folks on Discord, it appears that some people are still creating and could use a bit more time. Looking at our Calendar, we DO have some spare non-event time factored in over spring and summer, so we're going to re-organise some dates:

Rent-A-Fanwork 2026 will now run until the end of March. It will not be extended further. Summary post will go up 1st of April

AUpocalypse will have the prompts announced on the 18th of April and will run throughout the month of May

FiKi Week will take place as previously planned - no changes.

Please DO take a moment to look through our Collection of works available for renting, and through the Collection of responses. You are still more than welcome to play!

There was something in the back of my head, a feeling that didn’t feel like it belonged to me. It was some confused mixture of shock, disbelief, hope and hurt.

I blocked it out.

“What the hell did you do to me?” I repeated, getting justifiably angry. I don’t like it when people cast magic on me. I still felt like I was sparking from the inside out. I’ve tried hard to stay out of magic, but I felt like maybe I hadn’t been put back right. If there was some kind of counter-curse I had to figure out to get myself back to rights, I would be very upset about it. (But I would do it, hell or highwater, because I don’t like it when people fuck with me.)

The angel was still staring at the floor. “I didn’t know.” he said, finally.

“You didn’t know what, exactly.” I bit out. I don’t want vague nothings. I want to know what just got unleashed on me.

“My mission,” The angel said, “Why I was sent here.”

“I’m sorry that you don’t have your entire purpose mapped out for you. Now do you want to answer my question?”

“That was my mission. I was sent here to find my One.”

This is a response to the @gatheringfiki's Rent-A-Fanwork 2026 event

Chrestomanci, chrestomanci, chrestomanci.

For once the familiar tug under his breastbone doesn’t come at an inconvenient moment. Or at least it isn’t as inconvenient as it could be: he isn’t sleeping, or worse, in the shower.

No, Fili is doing his groceries. Okay, so literally disappearing from right in front of the tills, just as he’s about to pay, isn’t ideal, but at least nobody is going to get hurt, or see anything they’re not supposed to see. The only victim this time is a jar of olives, which he has just picked up to scan through, shattering inconsequentially on the tiled floor where he used to be, and what is it with him and various containers shattering in his wake?!

But the pull of the magic is savage this time round. An urgent and harsh yank that won’t take no for an answer. Not that Fili ever resists the call of his power when it comes, but this feels—

He lands on his feet, just, though the world lurches sickeningly sideways just as Fili thinks instinctively to defend, his magic blocking something that hits it hard, the force of the blow knocking Fili squarely onto his arse.

The back of his head hits a knee. Fili looks upside down—

“Kili?!”

New Fanfiction written for @linane-art and the Rent-A-Fanwork Event from GatheringFiKi! It is very small but it was fun to write this and I am very happy about it. And it gave me a possible new idea - as if I do not have enough of those in my own head already but here we are.

The title sounds kind of like a joke but that is how I coped with the repeat of trauma in this. There is hope at the end. And I really can only tell you to read "Children of Stone" that Linane wrote.
