I think ‘great fairy fountain/file select theme’ is one of the most beautiful pieces of music ever written. The one thing I actively dislike about botw and totk is that they don’t have a file select theme. It’s got that final fantasy and kingdom hearts “I don’t even want to play the game because the music is just so drop dead gorgeous” from the prelude and dearly beloved respectively. All of these themes perfectly set up the journey you’re going to go on, and each of them is perfect for specifically THEIR GAME. Final fantasy wouldn’t work with dearly beloved or great fairy fountain. Kingdom hearts wouldn’t work with great fairy fountain or the prelude. And legend of Zelda wouldn’t work AT ALL with ANYTHING except great fairy fountain. It is as ingrained into the series as the triforce, as the master sword, as the main theme. GOD I LOVE VIDEO GAME MUSIC IT MAKES ME FEEL SO MANY THINGS
