For a moment Charlie hesitated before she walked over to Bruce and cleared her throat to get his attention. Her hands were hidden behind her back seemingly holding something. She didn't said anything yet, and instead waited for Bruce to turn his attention to her.

Bruce was working on his computer, as far as he was concerned, it was just a normal day. He heard Charlie clearing her throat, then adjusted his glasses as he looked up at the teenage girl.

"Charlie, what's up?" he asked, raising an eyebrow at what she was hiding behind her back.

Bruce smiled as he saw Peter come in, but raised his eyebrow at the question, looking over at the bench for a moment, then back at the teenager.

“Which one, and may I ask why you need it first?” he asked, wanted to make sure his lab equipment wasn’t going to be used irresponsibly. It wasn’t out of mistrust, but Bruce always worked on the side of caution.

Bruce smiled at his friend’s reaction to the gift, and shrugged at his question. “That’s a very long story, but basically the Grandmaster’s ship chased after me and I took it for myself.”

He only raised an eyebrow at the illegal pieces of tech, it wasn’t really above a tyrant to own them. “Yeah, I heard. I don’t need a galactic criminal record, I just got rid of my one on Earth,” he chuckled. 

“They’re all yours. It was just some stuff to get rid of to make the Atari my own.”

Bruce looked over at her with an amused smile at Kamala’s explanation and the fact that she asked what kind of music he liked. Aside from the times when he would come out of a Hulk-out, he usually didn’t get much choice in music when with others.

“I like a lot of kinds of music. Classical’s a little boring for a road trip, so I’ll go with 70s music. Like the Eagles, Billy Joel, Elton John,” he explained, giving her some ideas. Bruce thought for a moment in the parked car before continuing.

“I’m sorry for doubting your aux cord skills. You can put in whatever you want too, just maybe nothing too loud?”

A box was left on the lab table for Bruce to find when he entered the lab for the day. It was wrapped up in purple paper with a big red bow. Inside was a tshirt with a silly science catchphrase and a note.

Bruce held up the shirt and chuckled, putting it back in the box for safekeeping. He texted Peter the next time he got a chance to.

“Thanks for the shirt, Peter. I will definitely be wearing it periodically.”

For Christmas, Scott got Bruce a big, weighted blanket that’s his favorite color. It’s wrapped in red paper with a silver ribbon.

Bruce holds up the indigo weighted with a smile, already imagining settling down and relaxing with it, as well a cup of tea and a good book.

“Thank you, Scott. I’ll definitely enjoy this.”

“Surprisingly, that’s not the most complicated explanation I’ve heard,” Bruce chuckled. His demeanor became more serious as he thought of what the captain meant by a witch’s hex. An old but painful memory crossed his mind, and he cautiously asked his next question.

“By witch’s hex, do you mean Maximoff?”
