Sorry for answering this so late, I couldn't figure out which OC to do! orz But I finally decided to introduce one of my more recent OCS - Filka (Oh and bases for above art by Sureya on DA)
Filka started as an idea of mine to combine some of my most favored characters that I identified the most with into one creation. Hence, Filka was created with looks and attributes shared by Gil (Dragon Knights), Mika (Owari no Seraph), Ichigo (Tokyo Mew Mew), and Flamie (Rokka no Yuusha.) She is what I like to call my “Frankensteined” character (until she took on a story of her own.)
And this is the short version of her story! (Cause I got a little carried away earlier and wrote a really large detailed version that I'm gonna nicely put under a 'read more.')
Filka is a young vampire girl who has trouble drinking from the still living and is still consumed by many traumas of both her past and present life. She meets a human boy and they form a friendship of support for one another while never seeing the other’s face. One day, he gives her a musical bell and she later finds herself hearing the screams of those in pain and rescuing them from a dark miasma. But now her friend seems to be missing and there’s some mysterious woman telling her that she must fight!
Personality: Filka tries to act calm and cool after her transition into a blood sucking vampire but she is still greatly bothered by her past and constantly has trouble shrugging off her humanity to feed on others. She spends most of her days in her sire’s mansion in her favorite place up in the rafters. She cannot stand her other “siblings” and finds them something to be feared. Her sire takes care of her by bringing her blood in a glass or already dead prey for her to feed on. He’s strict but seems to have a soft spot for his youngest ‘daughter.’ Filka’s humanity seems to still be very much intact and she often brings food to nearby stray animals, even when she, herself, is starving. Her treatment by her siblings has left her often reacting with distaste and sass which she uses to try to hide her weakness and fear. The human boy she eventually befriends becomes her only confidant and is a great source of support to her.
Filka has been a vampire for several decades now and lives with her sire in his mansion. She sought out her vampiric sire as a last resort to end her mistreatment and mental torture at the hands of the other girls in her town. That time has since passed but the scars of those days remain with her. Even though her hatred of humanity should be strong, she finds herself unable to kill. Her sire takes pity on her and allows her to remain with him where he brings her blood, already drained from the body, or the bodies of his recent kills so that she can drink from them without the guilt of killing others herself. This causes her vampiric “siblings” that occasionally stop by to visit their Father to make fun of her and call her ‘childish’ for her inability to kill. This causes Filka to still have a lot of issues but one day she runs into a boy in town who witnesses her as her blood craving hits a high one night and she almost attacks a human. She tries to hide in fear that her murderous nature has been revealed but, to her surprise, he is not afraid of her and even tries to get her to come out and talk to him.
Eventually these two form a strange bond with one another. Filka, afraid of showing her face (which he luckily did not see that fateful night), refuses to let him see her for fear that he’d forever know her face equaled that of an immortal, blood drinking monster and she refuses to look at him as well, afraid to link feelings to a face of a mortal that she knows will one day pass away. So they meet almost nightly on opposite sides of a garden wall where their identities are both safe yet they can still talk. They talk about their worries, their fears, their pasts, and the futures they wish they can have. On one particularly bad night for Filka, after her “older brother” dropped by with one of his small meals in tow, the boy, Kai, tries to comfort her by giving her a small, bell-shaped music box with a cat design on the inside. Filka thinks it is cheap and silly but begins to treasure it nonetheless. The next day as she hangs about the rafters of her sire’s mansion the bell begins to glow and the sudden voice of a woman screaming for help reverberates throughout her body. She is enveloped in light and finds herself transformed into a catgirl in a fluffy, pink dress! She can’t quiet the sounds of the screaming and finds herself running towards the source that only she can hear. Upon arriving at a small apartment in the slums she sees a woman being accosted by some sort of dark miasma and before she knows why, her body reacts and she fights off the dark haze with both claw and a magic bow. The woman is now safe but Filka is still in shock and confused at her new form, confused at why she is saving some human, confused at what that miasma was, and, finding that she is craving more blood that she ever has before, she runs off in a panicked state as she de-transforms. Halfway back to her sire’s mansion and covered in tears and racked with hunger, she runs into a mysterious woman clad in black. The woman stops her and tells her about some of her new powers and what she has just fought and why she must continue to do so and then offers her some of her own blood. Filka has never drank from the living before but finds herself unable to turn down the offer and sinks her teeth into the woman’s flesh until she is sated. To her surprise, the woman seems fine even after losing so much blood and tells Filka to keep fighting and then disappears. Still in shock and frightened more than she has ever been, Filka waits to the next night and runs to meet her friend, hoping for some form of comfort from him, but… he is nowhere to be found!
Thus begins Filka's adventures in fighting off evil, searching for her dear friend, gaining courage and pride in herself, and falling in love with her mysterious new companion!
Trivia:
● Filka is so frightened of letting the boy know her true identity, that she sometimes even dons a large cat-eared hoodie when she goes to visit him to make certain that he will not be able to see her face even if curiosity gets the best of him.
● Her most annoying elder sibling, Samael, has a penchant for snatching young kids (especially young boys) from bad homes and treating them to a night of sheer luxury before draining them to the last drop. Filka finds this utterly despicable and truly sickening but is always too afraid to say anything to Samael out of fear. After transforming for the first time though she finds herself able to talk back to him and tell her opinions of his behavior right to his face. Even so, he continues to simply laugh in return for her newfound feistiness and refers to her as the “poor, innocent baby” of the family.
SPOILER!!!
DO NOT READ UNLESS YOU WANNA BE SPOILED! (...by a story I will probably never write orz.) But - YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!
Kai is the name of the human boy she befriends. Filka later finds that he identifies as mostly genderfluid and refers to himself at times by the female name, “Kaioh.” Kai has a great deal of trouble with his parents when it comes to his gender and they may be the reason he disappears for a while. Kai is also the later revealed to be the ‘mysterious woman’ that Filka befriends and winds up falling for as a fighting companion. Once Filka finds out about Kai’s gender, she fully accepts him and they begin visiting each other in earnest once his more accepting grandmother takes him in. Kai's hobbies include dancing, idol games, and dressing up.
