So I had Imperial Knowledge vids on in the background while I'm drawing, right, and I heard something intriguing that I can't find a source for.

The channel's host said there's conflicting reports of the battle between Vahlok and Miraak, which makes sense given the sheer age of the events described. One – the version of events I've heard before – states Miraak was saved before the killing blow was landed, but the second says he was weakened enough to be imprisoned in a tomb until he inevitably died, hence Vahlok's "Jailer" epithet.

Do any y'all maybe know where I could find this story? Even if it's not strictly canon, I may end up using it in my lore anyhow lol.

How do you think like, staffs within the Elder Scrolls get charged? I know you use soul gems, but how do you think you charge it with the soul gem? do you have to rub them together? do some weird ritual where you meditate the energy into the staff...??? Is there a panel on the back where you change the soul gems like batteries?
