...and I think that's it? I don't really watch enough shows to have many comfort characters. Which is a shame, I like having people that I can just look up fanart of and be calm.

what is the deal with the emails from other Whitneys? also lol you are an internet dinosaur.

I am an internet dinosaur. I mean, my parents were early adopters with tech, so we had a modem and AOL before anyone else. Thankfully they were not big phone people, so nobody minded much if I tied up the phone line.

And yes, I was a really early adopter with Gmail.  I even set up email addresses for both kids that were first name last name when they were born.  (One kid does have to have a middle initial in there)

But for the last 10 years, I’ve been getting emails for a variety of Whitneys on two different gmail addresses.  (I have one that uses my actual last name and one that uses my husband’s last name - since I was going to take his name, then I didn’t. But I mostly use it for mailing lists)

Everything from confirmations from accounts, to emails about wedding venues, to EMPLOYMENT DOCUMENTS, banking forms, veterinarian reminders and prison video requests.  (I was kinda upset about the last one because I had no way to tell NC Whitney D what the info was, but I later found out - NC Whitney D got arrested on a ton of drug charges and assault and battery so I think a video call with someone was the least of her problems)

Oh and one Whitney signs up for so many MLMs.  Dallas Whitney (and isn’t that funny) seems to have finally figured it out - I actually had to email her vet to say - PLEASE CALL HER AND GET THE RIGHT EMAIL. There was one in Colorado who was a hot mess, but she got a job and an apartment - which meant there was a lot of email straightening that one out.

And the one in Santa Barbara who was getting married?  Well, she ended up with a different last name, and a different email - so I never heard from her again. Edited to add: There is a Whitney who is a CFO of a large corporation who does know her own email as well as a very successful woman who was in the Coast Guard. She also knows hers. I have NEVER gotten email intended for either of them.
