Was the final date cute? Yes.

Was it what I was expecting? No.

Did it make me smile like an absolute giddy idiot when Will started talking about hanakotoba? Yes.

Did it feel like a final date? No.

Where are those grand final dates?? This felt like Chloe in season 7 getting a goddamn tea picnic in the forest with some pictures hung in frames from dry tree branches. Meanwhile people have been out in yachts, speedboats, helicopter rides, dining in castles with firedancers, private performances by a string quartet, dining at a cliffside gazebo with the sunset in the background and other cool things and we get a stroll through a garden??

On second thought, the musical episode was not something I ever expected to see on Love Island and I get why everyone has the ick.

But then the whole pacing for the season is out of control. We had a lazy day in our couples after the last recoupling and that completely boring challenge before the last dumping? Where’s the mean tweets? Lie detector? Even the stupid fake babies would’ve made more sense, especially if the aim all along was to discuss having kids or not.

Then people are dumped and we do nothing for one whole day before the prom and the finale combo? That’s when we should be getting the visits from family/friends. Even if we’re not gonna actually see them at the Villa (although if they ever went there, even if only for our LI that would be AMAZING), then give us texting families like in Season 2 and going out on the final dates.

Wait, does that mean we’re having final dates, prom AND the finale all in the last episode?? Will the prom be combined with the finale? I’m so confused rn

Actually we don’t know for sure that 4/27 is out.  I copied the last 3 dates from Wikipedia, but they are not confirmed as far as I know.
