on the topic of ygo

ik friends who like,,,actively keep up with meta but hate on the anime and love talkin abt how "bad" i am at ygo (but i'm not THAT bad lmao i beat him as many times as he has beat me). but they don't really count as ygo fans only bc anime and the power of friendship > card game meta. 

it's just not as fun once you get too into winning right away yk? like,,,,cool you can win ygo on ur first turn using messed up combos and yea you have like 12 negates on ur link but,,,,i just wanna play ygo for fun man. 

i just want the thrill when ur on your last 20 cards and you have a combo that might just work, the moment right before you deal that last bit of damage. it's just so fun when you get that sweet sweet win, or when you finally understand the strategy your opponent was going for. when you deal effect damage just for the heck of it, or when you think your screwed but remember about a certain card that you could draw, or when you have a trap card ready to save you from a direct attack. comeback victories are so much more fun than first/second turn wins, and it sucks that everyone is more focused on getting the win than actually playing the damn game.
