I know you’re a treyjade main, but what do you think about treikei? You seem to have a soft spot for them too I’m curious about it.
i think there's no other angst i love best on a ship than treycater
there's an addictive feeling seeing hurt in their eyes
where nothing ever started, but u can clearly see something brews so hard and deep inside
the destructive kind of love that do nothing but eats you,
with them you can have endless yearning, and that is the best
they play the suppressed feelings, unrequited love trope so badly perfect that it hurts for real;
the situation where they know that there is no one to blame but themselves, for no other but themselves are so in reach with each other, but somehow they never quite able to grasp one another,
and the regret from that missed opportunity with 99.9% success rate, is just so big and real, it makes me feel something, always
aside from jade, i think no other than cater looks so harmonious beside trey
their color scheme fits perfectly with one another (that's a big one for me) & their vibe just compliments each other very well
they always looks so natural, enjoying one another's company
and they are so dependably superior when they are together, tenfold than when they are alone,
which makes them really good seen seen with each other
but with them it personally feel like, the spark is lost once they step up to romantic relationship
the same feeling like finally getting the thing u really really wanted, to just lose interest of it once it's in ur hand
in a way it is kinda like a masochistic love
the feeling of wanting to endlessly chasing for something, i think that is addictive for cater who always chasing clouds on social media
despite it not securing everlasting happiness
it at least makes him feel something
despite of them not being together, i adore cater who is still portrayed to hang out with trey even after they have grown up,
like they would expect the least to keep in touch with each other after fulfilling their duty at school
but here they are,
it surprises cater the most
he is probably still feeding from the feeling "i used to love you, you know" whenever he looks at trey laughing happily with what he has now,
while also closing his eyes and mutters in his heart "i know this is for the best"
i think that kind of connection between them is much more meaningful than anything can ever happen between them
there's some sense of loyalty that surpass love
to see ur favorite person be so happy
while accepting that u can't make him happy the same way as he is now
to me, they largely represent the fear of ever stepping forward
and, wisely deciding that,
something might be good for u, but probably not the best for you
( with how trey ends up blooming more with someone who can be honest with their feeling & cater avoiding to hurt trey thinking of the possibility that their relationship is not going to be the way he was expecting )
the courage to make decision and step away from that is big and i want to appreciate it
overall, their chemistry with each other is great,
i understand how they came to be,
and trey clearly holds great affection to cater as a friend in game
but i like them best when they have loose but strong connection with each other rather than being specifically close
did you know some moray eels have venom in their teeth, just so they can bite quickly and run away in case they’re cornered? Its not even lethal most of the time, its a numbing effect 😭
