Final year of my master's degree

In one month I will start my final year of doing my master's degree. I am a little bit nervous because I have not started my diploma thesis yet (procrastination level 1000). This post is dedicated to the courses I will take in the last year of my studies (not including long planned PhD which (hopefully) will come after I finish this year).

Winter semester:

Pharmaceutical biotechnology

Highly parallel sequencing and data analysis

Management and economics of biotechnology companies

Exercise of graduates 1

Special seminar 1

Selected chapters of molecular biology

Summer semester:

Legislation and biosafety of biotechnology

Biotechnology and biomedicine

Exercise of graduates 2

Special seminar 2

Selected methods of molecular biology

My state exams will contain four parts:

Defense of the diploma thesis

Molecular biology

Biotechnology

Pharmaceutical biotechnology and biotechnology in biomedicine

Hopefully I will finish this year successfully with no mental or physical damage lol.

Miss to Dr

I got my final med results today, and I am officially a doctor now. (': I got very emotional yesterday after having finished my last ever osce. I was trying so hard to suppress my tears while walking down the hospital hallway one last time. I had dreamed about this moment for my whole life, since I was a child and I can't believe this is the end of my undergraduate journey.

So many people to thank, as I wouldn't have made it this far without them. From my parents to my best friends. Not forgetting all the wonderful doctors and patients who were so lovely towards me. I learnt so much from every single encounter. And I would like to thank myself as well, something which I rarely do, but I do deserve it because I had worked so damn hard to get this far.

I am absolutely terrified of starting work, but I am trying not to think about it for now. I really need to cherish and enjoy this break as much as possible before work life begins.

Congratulations to Class of 2021! We persevered through the pandemic as medical students, and we shall preserve on as doctors.

Your girl has finally transitioned from Miss to Dr. ❤👩‍⚕️

I couldn’t post anything for last few days. From my third day of productivity I did lot of work. But recently I am deteriorating and doing less and less work. I am sitting for final MBBS hopefully by the end of this year. So I literally have lot of stuff to study and yet I am acting so irresponsible.

This is the time to gather all the energy and start again. I need to finish proper studying during this home stay because we hardly get time to study properly when university starts. We need to go to hospital each day and examine lot of patients day and night which leaves us with little time to study.

Ok here we start. And if you are feeling the same, come on! Let’s do this. One small step at once and by the time you are ready to go, you will be a whole new version of yourself.
