Bittersweet victory coats the heart warmly as does wine the tongue, nations uniting among pillars of white stone.    To celebrate.    Even the elvenking dared to leave the safety of his north-eastern woods to attend Elessar's coronation.    And for his own reunion with Legolas, of course.    With hearing captured by tales his son shares, his friend the dwarf by his side, Thranduil feels eyes on himself.    Not just any among countless already seeking his fair face that day;  it comes with a different sensation.    More piercing, as though able to see beyond the walls shielding him against more scars than battle and loss already carved into his soul.

He glances around, if subtly so, to meet Galadriel's ever knowing gaze and... a smile adorning her beauteous features.    Silhouettes of moving by guests obscure the view just fleetingly.    But devoid of any aim to part from his child and speak with the white lady, the king merely lifts his goblet in courteous manner to acknowledge her gesture.    Silvery head cants minimally to one side, his briefly distracted attention returning to Legolas and his story.    Thranduil trusts she would come hither, existed there a particular reason worth addressing behind the small gift.
