3. If they complimented each other, what would they say?

Fiona @ Nate: "Your love of books is so vivid you inspired me to read some of them too!"

Fiona @ Ava: "Seeing your cute little dimples always puts a pep in my step!"

Nate @ Fiona: "You have a well trained eye to find the good and fun in anything and in any person."

Ava @ Fiona: [Shang Li Voice] "You fight good."

5. What activities do they enjoy together?

I think as a group they enjoy spending time in each other's company even if they're all busy! Fiona really just likes to vibe with her lovers, and she's happy to be sketching or playing her Switch or shopping online cuddled up next to Nate and Ava engage in their own private hobbies.

Individually, Fiona likes going fishing and working out with Ava and likes taking Nate out to swing dance!

20. What is a promise they have made to each other?

Fiona, to Both: "There's always time to talk things out and always a chance to be heard."

Nate to Fiona: "I want to be the hand on your back, not the hand holding you away."

Ava to Fiona: "I will be your rock, I will be there to ground you."

11. What causes them to fight?

Just going off from book three, Nate clearly has some issues he's got to recover from in re: trusting Fiona to be capable. That is something that gets under her skin and something I think will be a frequent issue, especially considering that Ava sides with Fiona on her capabilities.

With Ava, because of her strong loyalty to the Agency, I think they're gonna butt heads on some of the uh, policies and practices. Fiona turns in the LT to spearhead a reform of the Agency since she doesn't agree with their methods.

2. If they could each describe each other in one sentence, what would it be?

Oh, yes, this is cute. :3

Fiona describing Nate: "At heart, a real dorky ass dad type with the bod to match." Fiona describing Ava: "Like one of those Michaelangelo statues but with hella gay panic."

Nate describing Fiona: "Her life and her heart is in the clouds: free and untethered; that also applies to her head at times." Ava describing Fiona: "Dedicated and hardworking when it matters the most."

21. How have they changed each other for the better/for the worse?

For Fiona and Ava, her romance with Ava began honestly as deep admiration for a leader who had her shit together and was efficient and hard working. Fiona looked up to her as a new detective! Ava inspired Fiona to work harder and to believe in her own abilities.

For Fiona and Nate, she had to put her ability to stand up to herself to the test at times (considering that book 3 scene), but what she does appreciate from him is his open softness. It's not something she's experienced often from men and she really values that in Nate.

For Nate and Ava both I think Fiona is such an open book that being open with themselves is just... easier. She's patient, but ultimately curious and will test the boundaries more and more. I think she allows them both to have conversations that may be difficult!

OUCH!!! OKAY!!! OKAY angst it is ANGST IT IS--

10. Write a ~300 word argument scene for them.

Ava’s footsteps stomping down the hallway announce her presence long before Fiona catches a glimpse of the brooding vampire, like a flash of lightning warning of the oncoming thunder.

Beside her Nate looks relatively unperturbed as he continues reading. “You’ve gone and upset her again.”

“No hush I’m sure she’s not that mad,” Fiona hisses. There’s not enough time for her to find a hiding space in the library; besides, it has only one exit. The door slams open seconds after Fiona manages to grab a pillow to her chest and tuck herself as close to Nate as she possibly can in an effort to make herself look smaller.

The look on Ava’s face staring her down is absolutely as dark as thunderstorm clouds.

“That’s a poor hiding spot, Fiona,” Ava bites out, clearly unamused. “Did you really think I would fail to notice the disarray you left the training room in?”

Nate turns the page of his book. “Fiona my darling, we’ve discussed keeping the training room tidy after you use it.”

“Several times.”

Nate hums in a bland sort of agreement. “Yes, Ava, several times.”

Shoot. Earlier Fiona had been using the training room and its array of gymnastics equipment, taking advantage of its variety of equipment and its size to make a return to gymnastic training. It’d been years since she’d been fully committed, but genuinely fun as she dipped her toes back into her old routine.

Fun until it meant cleaning up after herself.

“Farah needed my help, you know…” Fiona tries with a small smile. It’s a fib. A little one. Farah had needed her help after all… but only to pick out a couple new dresses. “I couldn’t say no.”

“Helping Farah doesn’t absolve you from cleaning your messes.” Ava crinkles her nose at her. Fiona squeaks and curls tighter against Nate.

“No, none of that,” Nate chuckles and carefully extricates himself out of her iron grip hold to her dismay. “Go now. It’s only fair.”

Looking between Nate and Ava, Fiona knows she’s lost. Nate won’t meet her eye though she can clearly see he’s smiling and Ava-- well, her brow is still pinched and unmoving. Her hand is out now, waiting for Fiona to take it.

“Fiiiiiine!” Fiona moans as she lets Ava pull her to her feet. “I’m going I’m going!”
