「Wistful Fog」

One Cloud dared to kiss the Earth,

expecting a welcoming embrace,

Reality betrayed expectations,

for the Earth was callous and unyielding.

Leaving the Cloud downcast,

waiting on the Sun to raise its spirits skyward.

However, within the Cloud's gloom

stood a human who dared to kiss the Cloud.

Losing myself in that swirling mist,

the haze inside fleetingly clears.

The ocean of greys reflects a wispy dream:

Fincayra, so wondrous and sweet.

Although I yearn to venture past that curtain of vapor,

I know this is nothing but a fantasy.

Because those who can find solace in the melancholy and murk,

are not awarded a fate so whimsical and free.

So I wait for another Cloud,

foolish enough to dare kiss my Earth.
