Who are you currently rotisserie chicken rotating?
right now it's Finchcall. a dark forest cat who I've given a big role mostly by accident.
xe was a SkyClan cat who was mentored by the (future) leader. xyr parents one day decided to throw a coup because sometimes you just gotta do it. Finch was stuck in the crossfire not wanting to hurt anyone's feelings. StarClan seeing this mess made a prophecy quickly starring finch as the one to stop the chaos, which only caused more harm, to xyr and to everyone else.
When the leader was killed xe was present (one of xyr parents did it en plus!) and when the deputy (who was a supporter of the leader) rose to power they weren't really pleased. xyr parents were banished (and died under suspicious circumstances) and xe was under constant watch, until one day when xe ate some fresh kill and died (poisoned)
during this utter disaster, Finchcall was also raising xyr kit (only one). that kit didn't want to stay in the clan and became a kittypet. the kit's line produced Nutmeg and thus the firefam.
Finch went to the dark forest because StarClan was just being very annoying (see leafpool and Squirrelflight trial in Squirrelfligh's hope) and xe became very, very angry at StarClan, vowing to take down its leaders and get justice. Finch often looked at the living clans and became infuriated by how the modern cats can break rules without any issue and still get in starclan, xe was jealous and wanted to make the living cats pay and by extention starclan. so xe did the whole impostor thing, but for real codebreaker reasons this time.
Finchcall is the one that is going to draw Ivypaw in the dark forest (because descendent) and xe has a role in the tbc replacement, taking assfur's place (because assfur attacks Squilf in the dark forest battle and gets double killed) and would be killed by the bris replacement (bris herself(an improved version obv)? honestly, that would be painful(imagine. you're ivypool. your old dark forest mentor comes back to punish the codebreakers and wreaks havoc in the clans. your daughter is being directly manipulated by xyr and when everything is going wild in the dark forest battle your daughter sacrifices herself to finish the battle once and for all, simultaneously erasing her from this world entirely), but good)
