When I was younger, my favorite character was Applefur (from omen of the stars). I just really really liked her, and was sad she died, but her death made me a bit more interested, because she died after rebelling from the dark forest, but after pov characters go to the shadowclan camp. She died doing what was right without getting to tell her family goodbye, and they probably thought she was a traitor, since she abandoned shadowclan to attack windclan, and died before she could explain herself.

We all know the hours I've put in looking at everything Darktail has ever done and saying, "AHHH yes, he's doing this for this reason, and it's SAD actually" granted he's a main character, but still
