23 year old Virginia native, Amy Lynn Bradley, was last seen aboard the Rhapsody of the Seas Royal Caribbean Cruise by her father at approximately 5:00-5:30am on the morning of March 24, 1998. According to her father, she was asleep on the cabin balcony but when he awoke at 6am, Amy had vanished. He then proceeded to search the ship for any sign of his daughter, who was last seen by fellow passengers having a drink with the ships band, Blue Orchid.
A member of the band stated that he last saw Amy at about 1:00am and the two parted ways. Because the ship was at sea at the time of her disappearance, many suspected that she may have jumped or fallen overboard. However, Amy was a trained and experienced lifeguard.
Oddly enough, in 2005, an email was sent to Amy's parent's containing sexually explicit photographs of a woman who FBI believes very strongly is in fact Amy. The photos were found listed under the name "Jaz" on a Caribbean prostitution site. The discovery of the pictures led Amy's family to believe that she had been abducted from the ship and sold into sexual slavery.
Even more interesting is that in the same year, a woman said that she not only saw Amy at a department store in Barbados, but that she even spoke to the missing woman. According to Judy Maurer, a distraught American woman was seen accompanied by two men who were demanding that she follow through on a deal. When Maurer approached the woman, she stated that her name was Amy and that she was from Virginia. Judy gave a physical description of the woman to the police, which shows an uncanny resemblance to the woman in the escort advertisements.
Amy has been missing for 21 years and 27 days.
