Finding the Limit
(Trigger warning: Math)
It’s easy to blame your problems on something else when you’ve been asleep for a very long time.
It wasn’t supposed to be easy
but
Ilyea
had
accepted
the
difficulty.
Goal: Find the ones who created the well.
If Ily = sneaky then illy + magical suppression would = goal assuming the cultists were as brazen as the rest of them. That’s what Ilyea assumed when she had taken up her own personal goal.
But if in >5 years she had taken on the mission, the mage still didn’t find it any less completed then before. In fact she found herself even more behind, even more paranoid.
Paranoia^2 + Fear^2 = Loss of self.
Ilyea didn’t expect to run into many chances within the Scions but within the small varied group but then again, she didn’t expect for as much to happen.
There is no such thing as a predestined chance.
Chance \= Destiny.
Kerrwyn had tried within Dalaran but there was nothing that just screamed what she was looking for. Ilyea wanted to know at least what they were looking for…..
You could string A + B + C + D together with 1, 2 and 3 but without a solution, it was hard to know what you were solving.
And that had been the major problem since she had started this fruitless search.
She was scared. She had to admit that to herself.
Ilyea could take every single artifact the Scions had but it would prove absolutely useless if she had no faith. The Shifting sands proved that again.
If no faith = no power then it would also equal No sense of self which also means no control. She was recklessly throwing herself into some blind assumption that it may work out if she did it enough times.
Ilyea was the definition of stupidity.
Again.
There is no such thing as a predestined chance.
Chance definitely \= Destiny and that was supposed to be the end of it.
It was a warning about her interference. Ilyea had no choice but to stop after that night.
But sometimes chance does = destiny.
Aurora had told her of his mission, his true mission and if the fact he wasn’t fatally wounded and poisoned, she could of kissed him.
The shadow walker knew of them really. He knew of them with an actual face and a possible name and it could paint a way towards her actual Goal.
They knew as much of her actions, where she went, and where she’d like to stay. She was no longer safe.
Ilyea had no more reason to suppress her magic.
It was the greatest solution to this problem she could ask for.
It was time to show them exactly what a cornered rat looks like.
