Second collection by Liam Payne at Hugo Boss has a sports mood.
The second Hugo Boss collection signed by Liam Payne celebrates the pop sensation singer's successful journey. Featuring bold designs in red, white and blue, inspired by Liam's sporting aesthetic and featuring new chevron motifs. To mark the launch of his second capsule, the brand ambassador explains the inspiration behind his favorite pieces and what it's like to work with Hugo Boss.
What is the inspiration behind the new collection?
Liam: The new collection is the result of the merge of HUGO's DNA with my aesthetic. This season, we thought it would be cool to celebrate our two trips so far. We remixed the HUGO logo so that it reads HUGO.93.LP in reference to the year I was born and the year the brand was established.
Do you have a favorite piece?
Liam: There are a lot of [pieces] to choose from, to be honest! What I use most is the sweater. It is so comfortable and looks great too. I also love the sneakers we develop. It's my first time creating shoes, and I'm excited to see what everyone thinks!
Did you learn a lot about your own style during this process?
Liam: Definitely! I realized that, although I love to dress [more formally] from time to time, casual clothes are what I feel most comfortable with. I'm really growing up in my own style right now. I know what works for me and what doesn't, and I'm fine with that.
What is it like to work with HUGO?
Liam: Honestly? It's great. This opened me up to other ways of being creative. It is really a collaborative effort. The only challenge is to edit the collections! I always love each piece!
