Correspondence
I’m working on my Debris of Utopia manuscript together with a wonderful editor who helps me to reorganize this disorder of the text. He mails: “I tried to group things logically within a finite number of parts and to put them in a sequence that moves from personal experience of the arc of late Soviet to post-Soviet life, to the built ideology of that arc and its decay (from places and works), to the affects of collapse, a mix of the objective and the subjective, but leaning toward the latter.” I laughed at “a finite number of parts" (if you know my writing, you’ll get it). It will be a very good book. Hold me to this: It will make my name.
