Coral McDuffee in an earlier competition
OHS Mens Surf Team
A huge shout out to Oceanside High surfers Finn Erickson and Coral McDuffee who placed in the Scholastic Surf Series High School State Surfing Championships held at the Oceanside harbor on April 22-24. Finn took 5th place in the Men’s Shortboard and Coral took 4th in the Women’s Shortboard competition. The event had participation from over 40 California high schools from San Diego to Santa Cruz/Half Moon Bay. What a great way to finish up the high school season with excellent conditions and great surf.
The Mens Shortboard final had the guys throwing down some 8.9 and 9.0 rides while the Women’s Shortboarders were ripping with some 10.0 rides.
