I dont understand my brother. Don't get me wrong, I have certainly tried. I've done everything to connect from signing us up for pottery classes (too messy for him), inviting him over to watch 2000s sitcoms (he keeps avoiding my apartment), and even trying to have emotional conversations (the worst one)
Nothing. Is. Working.
So I threatened him.

I texted him earlier is the day saying that if he doesn't come over I will sign us up for a trampoline park hour.
Now he's sitting stiffly on my couch with a cat curled up against him. He inhales deeply as he tries to move the cat gently off of him, but Muffin moves closer.
"Juliette," he tells me, voice kinda stuffy, "can you please collect your...companion."
Companion? Who is he calling a companion?? "Firstly his name is Muffin, secondly I never complain when your fish is around." I cross my arms across my chest, staring him down.
"Its a fish, you do not touch a fish, Juliette. And you are not-" he cuts off, sneezing into his elbow.
Oh. "Ooooh, are you allergic? Is that why you never come over? It makes so much sense now!" Muffin continues his pursuit of tormenting grayson, hopping off the couch to press himself against graysons legs.
"Yes, I am allergic. And no that is not why I have not came over." He pauses, "can you please put...Muffin...away?"
I sigh dramatically, walking foward to take Muffin off of Graysons lap. "Fine, I'll go put him in my room," Im standing infront of him now, "if...you tell me why you refuse to hang out with me! Im your sister!" I exclaim dropping the cat back down.
Grayson is staring at me now, there is almost a kind of sadness in his eyes that he refuses to name. "Juliette it is not that simple."
"Then what is it? I have tried everything! I even asked you about those tiny coffees you like that come in tiny mugs!" I wave my hands around, listing things off on my fingers. "I invited you to an art class! Invited you to go to the trampoline park xander said you liked!"
"Xander lied to keep your entertained, Juliette." Grayson says flatly, finally getting the cat fully off his lap and onto the floor. "I haven't been coming around due to something that is nothing to do with you."
