Finnchewie headcanon: Watching Finn go off on Captain Phasma was the moment Chewie knew he was truly in love. Finn's confidence and strength in standing up to one of his oppressors despite his fear and anxiety drew Chewie in like no one ever had before. Plus, he got the odd sense that a large group of white women crying about the misogyny of it all for whatever reason. But he cared not. For he was proud of his boyfriend and they could stay mad.
