Today would have been my mother's 71st birthday. As well as being the 11th one without her here to celebrate it. It is also going to be my 100th post on Instagram.
So for this, I've chosen two women who inspire me for so many reasons. They choose challenges over being stationery and never settle for one level when they know that they can strive for that next level up.
Fiona Maynard @fiona.maynard ( https://www.instagram.com/fiona.maynard/ ) (my non-cousin, just happen to share the same last name.) is a woman of many talents. She acts, models, does crossfit, and has an inspirational podcast. However, never being satisfied with her own growth as a person. She has now strapped on a new hat (and name) as she transforms into Aura, a singer/rapper who is just starting out but is dropping songs left and right. Nyrene "Neutron Bomb" Crowley @nyrenec ( https://www.instagram.com/nyrenec/ ) followed all the rules as she was growing up in East Auckland, New Zealand. She did what you were "supposed" to do. Go to school, get your degree, get a job and earn good money. However this wasn't enough. It wasn't the thing that struck her with happiness. What did, ironically strike her was professional fighting. She was so passionate about her sport, she moved her entire life to Bali, to train and fight out of @balimma. On August 24th she is going into her next fight against Rachael Kavanagh. Side note: if you can find a video ( https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=dvBeOa_uRB8 ) of her singing, I would highly recommend it.
