Mystery:
Any ideas on how to drink water “slowly”?
I’m trying to be healthier and stay hydrated so I got @plant-nanny which is helping but I either drink the water super fast (and feel a bit bloated and weird) or don’t drink it at all.
Usually by the time my next reminder comes around I’ve still got a whole bottle to drink and whilst I don’t down it all just to stay “on track”, it is super annoying that I can’t do in-between “slow” drinking.
I’d preferably like not to have a fuckton™ of alarms going off every few minutes to tell me to take a sip but IDK, I might have to start doing that. Lol.
Any ideas?

If you still want to infodump, I'd love to hear about toh or ballet <3
that would be great haha
here’s a ballet thing most people don’t know; pointe shoes are actually made of layers of canvas fabric and glue! this is what makes them stiff enough to hold up a person on their toes, while also allowing them to bend and move where they need to. it’s covered in satin from the outside, and usually linen or cotton from the inside.
due to the fact that the glue eventually breaks down as you dance in the shoes, this also means that dancers sometimes burn through an alarming amount of shoes! during a season, i dance between forty-sixty hours per week, and i can wear a pair of shoes for about a week before they’re “dead”. this is also the main reason ballet is so expensive, as a pair of shoes averages about $100 USD. take that multiplied by nine working months per year plus 1-2 months of summer training programs and classes, it adds up to a whopping headache every time you see the receipts! :D
but in all seriousness, it really is worth it. another misconception is that pointe shoes always hurt, but this really isn’t the case. if your shoes fit properly, they’re quite comfortable unless they’re brand new or completely shot. when you dance in them enough, you get so used to them that they feel more like an extension of your leg than a pair of shoes, and it’s really the best feeling.
