4. If you could change anything in [title], what would it be?

Good question. Looking back, I kinda wish I approached the 2nd page differently in the prologue. The colors and especially the shading just felt off, weird, and the page doesn’t match the rest of the comic’s style at all. Bonus points for changing ALL HANDWRITING to actual text unless it was done on purpose lol.

7. Who was your favorite character to write in [title]?

Spinel herself! More specifically, her relationships between Lapis and Steven.

10. What are some facts readers may not know about [title]?

Volleyball was the first of Pink’s friends, but the other Diamonds didn’t like that. Pearls weren’t supposed to be buddy-buddy with their owners! So, they created Spinel, modeled after Pearls but with play on her mind instead of only doing things when you’re told to. She was Yellow and Blue’s interpretation of what a “friend” is based on the way Pink spoke about Volleyball and what they themselves had seen, which is why Spinel is kinda toxic as a person to begin with. It’s also extremely hard to unlearn these behaviors, which Spinel must do in order to truly find her place in this family.
