“Ff-... fuckk...”
Balthazar cursed through his clenched teeth, stifling back a groan that stuck in his throat. He’d just won a tough fight, but only barely, and now he was half-dragging himself toward anything that could count as shelter. He was hurt, and badly.
He managed to get himself to a small alcove in the side of a short cliff before his legs wouldn’t carry him anymore. He half-fell, half-lowered himself to the ground to sit, clutching at a claw wound on his side. His breaths were unsteady.
Without his sister anywhere nearby, and without his brother nearby to help contact her, the FlameWizardmon had no choice but to wait in that spot and conserve energy until he could move again. He could only hope he wouldn’t revert into Guilmon, and that either no one would cross his path, or if they did, it was at least someone helpful or disinterested.
