A space captain learns about Polynesian Fire-Eaters during a less than ideal situation.
[Passage from the journal of Olsk M'nthent, Captain of the Happenstance, Star Date: 23:72:5:9]
We could see the search lights in the distance, but it would be too long before they found us. We were cornered by the Zemenan packs against the ship's fuel tank, which was spraying fuel from multiple points, their vicious hunger only held at bay by several pieces of flaming debris. But they would find their way eventually, either by simply going around them, or waiting for the fire to die down.
I had more or less accepted my fate at the jaws of these slavering beasts, but Crewmate Jonathan seemed to have other plans as he looked around for some form of salvation. I was going to attempt to console him in our last minutes before death when he pushed past me, grabbing one of the burning pieces from the ground. I was about to advise him that burning to death would be significantly more painful than falling to the beasts surrounding us when he stepped past me again, making his way towards the fuel tank.
My mind entertained the thought that Crewmate Jonathan intended to ignite the tank's contents in a final act of "spite" that his species were prone to when he carefully leaned forward and appeared to actively consume fuel. I watched in horror as his facecheeks bulged outward and he stepped away, turning to face the Zemenan as some of them gathered enough courage to creep around the flames.
In response, Crewmate Jonathan leaned backwards, held the burning debris near his mouth/orifice.... and proceeded to expel flames from his person. My horror turned to awe as he went back and forth from the tank to the increasingly startled Zemenan horde as they retreated further and further from the seemingly unpredictable plumes of flame.
These flames also served to signal our location to the rescue ships. Within the hour, we were being treated in the safety of one of their infirmaries and I took the opportunity to ask Crewmate Johnathan about the spectacular display his just showed, to which he shrugged and stated that he had learned about "fire-eating" from his grandparents. When I pressed for more he simply stated that it had been practiced by his family for generations.
The discovery of this "performance art", as he put it, has only increased my fascination with the human race. Regardless, I am thankful to have him on board and have increased his pay accordingly.

LMAO, I can't believe you insist on being twice the bitch you already were over some shit you made up. Wonder how many other Gabi haters you've tried to accuse. Or to what end you think you're accomplishing by doing so.
