The moment her eyes caught this particular mission when it was posted on the board, she quickly put her name on it. Grabbing yet another crime that was more about solving a mystery than creating her own, was starting to become a bit of a habit for her. She couldn’t it help it though, the vigilante in her still loved a good puzzle to solve. The fact that she had recognized the gang as one the Guardians had been after for some time, only further pushed her in her choice. The Collective seemed to know precious little about the White Rabbit Gang, enough so that they actually thought the former member she was supposed to track down would be working for them.
From everything that she knew about Terrance Tweed, and his “little rabbits” as he liked to call them. He had never been in the business of employing superhumans, but rather acquiring them. She and Cap were so damn close to catching him once, and finally getting some charges placed on him that would actually stick, but the case imploded on itself after the couple witnesses they had managed to find had flipped on them, and rejoined Tweed’s side. She wasn’t going to let that happen this time though, especially now since the rules of law and order no longer applied to her.
After she was given the all clear to head out, she does just that, and sends a message her partner’s way to let him know where to find her when he got there himself. It’s later that day when she hears a knock on her hotel room door, and after checking to make sure it was in fact him- an ingrained habit of her’s now, she opens the door to let him in.
“So you decided to play detective too?” She greets as she motions him to step inside.
